Agency accepted booking only to inform me less than 2hrs prior to departure that they had overbooked people and my booking would be refunded. Having prioritised this PM tour over other tour operators it was most disappointing. Never assume you are booked to attend, even when all correspondence indicated this, as clearly some companies over subscribe and then cancel participants. Needless to say, can’t recommend this operator.

The booking was made very late the night before the tour, only a few hours before the scheduled activity. Unfortunately, due to an exceptional last-minute capacity issue, we contacted you approximately 3 hours before departure to inform you of the situation.
We understand that you only saw our message later because you did not have Wi-Fi access, but the notification was sent as soon as we were able to confirm the issue.
We genuinely tried to find a solution: we offered to reschedule the tour and also proposed an alternative activity, but unfortunately neither option worked for you. A full refund was therefore arranged.
This is not a usual situation for us, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience. For last-minute bookings, especially during periods of high demand, we always recommend booking in advance whenever possible to ensure availability.
We take our customers’ experiences seriously and are sorry that, despite our efforts to provide alternatives, we were unable to find a solution that worked for you.

Five Stars — An Unforgettable Experience with Mario
Our jeep tour through Rocinha with Mario was one of the most meaningful parts of our trip. From the moment we set off, it was clear he wasn't just showing us around .He genuinely wanted us to understand the community and its people. He answered every question with patience and depth, sharing stories about daily life, local traditions, and the resilience of the people who call Rocinha home.
What stayed with me most was how much I learned, not just facts and history, but a real, human understanding of the culture. Mario has a gift for making you feel like a guest rather than a tourist. By the end of the tour, my heart was genuinely full. I left with a new perspective and a deep respect for the community we visited.

interesting experience
We made the purchase in Copacabana... the tour was what we expected, good attention from the guide Manoel, good explanation, and it is very interesting to learn how the humble people of Rocinha live.

It was good.
We found this activity interesting to go to know the community of the favela in rio, but it also gave us a bit of fear, although we are careful and do not get well deep into the rocinha, we are not stopped being in an environment that we are not used to!

Very nice experience with an excellent guide
I loved the tour of Rocinha with Wesley! Hyper friendly, passionate, always attentive and listening. He made the visit unique, with his personal touch and his communicative energy. What I particularly enjoyed was the opportunity to make a video with a drone from the rooftop of a favela – an incredible memory. I highly recommend!

interesting walk along the favela rocinha
I was also able to carry out this activity with the same agency that moved to big island. It has to be said that the good vibe of the guide joao, was great. It made everything okay. I knew many people inside the favela, I felt very calm. It's one how people live within the community.. it's sad, but it's 100% reality
