Informative tour. We learned a lot and it made the pieces throughout the tour much more interesting. We visited a lot of museums on our 2 week trip and this was a highlight.
After two weeks of museums, being named a highlight means a lot. We’re glad the explanations gave the works more meaning and helped the Accademia stand out among so many visits. Kind regards, Sky Crown Tours
pretty quick tour, but I really enjoyed our tour guide. I thought she was very knowledgeable. The tour did end at the statue of David so I would recommend listening to her as she explains it and then taking pictures after because you will have time.
Thank you for your lovely review, Jessica. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your Accademia Gallery tour and appreciated your guide’s knowledge. We also appreciate your helpful advice for future guests about listening to the explanation first and taking photos afterward. We hope to welcome you again soon. Best regards, Sky Crown Tours
The Accademia was fabulous, however the tour operator was terrible. I booked a small group guided tour…I only go to museums with a guide. When I arrived 15 minutes before the appointed time, the lovely young woman, whose job it was to assemble the group, had not been told it was a guided tour. Upon checking with her company, she was told that the guide had called in sick a couple hours earlier. She told me and the other two people that a refund would be issued, however I have not been contacted about it. It seems that a responsible tour company would anticipate guides being unavailabile and plan for substitutes. This and promising a refund but not following through are unacceptable.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment caused by the absence of the guide for your Accademia Gallery tour. We completely understand your frustration, especially after specifically booking a guided experience and being informed on arrival that the guide was unavailable. While unforeseen situations such as illness can occasionally occur, we agree that communication and follow-up should have been handled more effectively. We also sincerely apologize if you have not yet received an update regarding the refund that was discussed on site. Please contact us at feedback@crowntours.com with your booking reference number so we can review what happened and follow up on the refund status for you. Best regards, Sky Crown Tours
Our guide - Olga - represented the answer to the question of why would you need a tour guide when visiting the Gallery. She was speaking about Michelangelo and David with so much passion that you could enjoy the visit in a totally different way. Made our day absolutely special.
Hello, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that Olga brought such passion to the tour and enhanced your experience at the Gallery. Kind regards, Fernando Crown Tours
A fantastic museum with both art and old musical instruments and of course David by Michelangelo! The guide was very well read and interesting to listen to. Among other things, we learned that the Renaissance more or less started in Florence thanks to the Medici family money. In the 16th century, a school of philosophy, art and music was established in the building where the museum is now located. Schools of music and art still exist there in separate parts of the building. Also want to mention the nice Jonalyn from Crown Tours who received us and arranged that so well!
A spectacular tour the guides have patience and a great touch with the recommended audience 100%. I like to see monuments and art.
