What an amazing day we had in Nha Trang, learning not only how to cook some delicious Vietnamese food but also a little bit of what it is like living in this part southeast Asia. We learned how to weave sleeping mats at the home of a local family, toured their family living quarters and watched Dat, our chef and guide, shop for our cooking ingredients at the local market. Our cooking class was held in a lovely facility, tucked inside a huge garden, that allowed everyone to watch, learn, and participate in making each dish. Dat was a master at giving us enough details, that everyone, even those who rarely cook, were successful. The highlight was sitting down together at the large outside table and enjoying the fruits of our labor. Many thanks to Dat and his helper for creating such a wonderful experience for us. Would highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing day from start to finish. Dat picked us up and took us to the market to choose our ingredients and gave us lots of interesting history of the area and cultural information. He welcomed us into his beautiful home and introduced us to Vietnamese cuisine. We had choices of what to make and everything was so fresh and tasty. We will be able to go back to NZ and make the dishes ourselves now. We would highly recommend this fantastic experience. Thankyou Dat and your lovely assistance. It was a really cool and memorable experience. From the very beginning everything felt warm and relaxed, not just cooking but a real dive into Vietnamese culture and atmosphere. The place itself was amazing, a quiet garden, beautiful surroundings, everything calm and refreshing, like a break for the mind. Big respect to the teacher Dat, you can tell he truly loves what he does and explains everything in a simple and clear way. After this, you really feel confident that you can recreate the dishes at home. And his dog also added a nice vibe, making everything feel even more friendly and cozy. Overall, it was not just a cooking class but a great time that will definitely stay in memory.

Everything was explained so clearly that I feel confident these dishes can definitely be recreated at home. And a special delight was his adorable dog, who made the whole experience even cozier and more joyful. This was not just a cooking class, but a bright, vivid, and very inspiring event, a memory for a lifetime. Cooking together with a Vietnamese chef is a great honor and a true pleasure!

Great experience with Dat. We shopped at the market, visited family home and cooked simple but very tasty local dishes. We highly recommend the tour!

We went to a little market just outside Nhs Trang without any tourist. Then we visited a typical Vietnamese house and a fabric of noodles. Finally, we cooked the food bought by Mr. Dat at the market in his beautiful house which has a large dedicated are for cooking in a peaceful garden.

It was a great experience to visit the markets to buy the fresh produce. There are so many different vegetables and fruits which I have discovered. Chef Dat explained some history of Vietnam and how the locals lived. He catered the menu to suit our preferences and OMG the flavours in the different dishes were delicious. Had a great time and recommend this to anyone who loves Vietnamese cuisine

Chef Dat is charismatic and engaging. His tour of the local market and authentic local businesses was very interesting. His home was warm and inviting - a great place to spend the afternoon. The food we made is the best vietnamese food we have had on our holiday. Highly recommend.
