We sailed with Thiseas when we went, and we had a lovely time! The trip and stops were all very well thought out, and Thiseas also talked a little about the culture and history relevant to each stop we were at. The clay mask was a standout for us, sort of like a mini spa day. We definitely feel like we got our money’s worth and would highly recommend this nice relaxing experience. One thing I will add though is that expectations around pick-up time weren’t too clear. The email says “We are expecting you at 9:00 AM”, but when we got there at 8:58 AM, we were told that they were ready to leave at 8:45 AM - had we not called ahead to confirm our arrival, the boat might’ve left without us. Also, as a warning, the port is near a busy area, so if you’re driving your own vehicle take even more time to take parking into consideration

We had a very nice time, and our guide was great, however we didn't think we experienced anything so special that was worth what we paid. It was nice being able to visit a different island for a bit, connect with other visitors and be on a boat, but the Lagoon/Cave portion did not live up to our expectations. The sailing portion was also pretty rough, but I think this may have just been the conditions for that day rather than the standard experience.

Great sailing trip with Captain Thiseas. Everything that makes for a perfect sailing day: two nice sailing turns over to Paros and back in the afternoon, in between several stops to swim, pamper the skin with gray clay, and of course look at fish. Plus many explanations about the sea, the islands, and the history behind it. Would do it again anytime!

For our family of four including two boys ages 14 and 16, this sailing tour on the Annabella was amazing and was the highlight of our time in Naxos! I think there were eight other people on the boat with us so it was not at all crowded and I feel like everyone on board were able to enjoy themselves. Captain Thiseas was amazing and let my wife and I, who have some sailing experience, help him set and work the sails which made the trip extra special for us! He had fresh donuts for everyone in the morning and local Naxian wine and raki in the afternoon along with water and soft drinks. The stop at the blue lagoon was beautiful and the clay mud bath was out of this world! The tour included a stop for two hours to eat, shop, and explore the quaint village of Piso Livadi on Paros before sailing back to Naxos. And when I say sail, we had favorable winds and seas so Thiseas set everyone up in proper and safe positions, opened up the sails, and we flew across shockingly blue waters and arrived back in Naxos in no time. This was one of the most intense and exciting things I have ever done and I loved every second of it! Captain Thiseas is from Naxos and grew up sailing so he knows alot about all of the islands and seas in the region and was happy to share his knowledge and thoughts. I would 100% recommend booking a tour on the Annabella to anyone while in Naxos!

This was a very nice experience. The boat was great. Our captain did a great job. The little fishing village was nice and had lots of food options for lunch. I enjoyed the boat ride and the mud bath!!

Full day on the Annabella under the skilled sail of Theseus (George’s son - apologies if misspelled). Swimming, snorkeling, a nice stop in Paros that was just the right length, and plenty of local information and lore. Drinks and local snacks provided. Plenty of comfortable space for all guests, a provided ship dry bag for your day luggage, secure places to put small things to which you want immediate access. Wonderful.

Captain George was fantastic! The boat ride was smooth and fun! He was very personable. Be aware of the ocean conditions (waves caused by ferry) if you explore the cave. Lunch in Paros was amazing ! Such a relaxing day at sea!

We headed off with the engine then it was turned off and the sails went up – great fun. An exhilarating way to travel across the sea! There were only a few of us on the yacht, and Theseus was very informative and knowledgeable about the area throughout the trip. Enjoyed the swimming stops, and the mud bath – it really does make your skin feel smoother! Would definitely do this trip again.

Wondering sailing tour with Theses, we got to do and see it all so memorable from the blue lagoon to cliff jumping and the clay masks. So fun for an adventurous family.

Review – Anabella Sailing Boat, Naxos A “semi-private” experience that, in reality, felt more like a bus ride at sea at the price of a luxury catamaran. We booked this trip on the Anabella sailing boat in Naxos precisely because it was advertised as a semi-private experience, for a maximum of 12 people. In reality, 23 people were crammed on board. In my opinion, the difference between what is advertised and what you actually receive is far too significant to be overlooked. From the very beginning, the captain’s attitude was surprising: we were essentially told that if we did not like the conditions, we could leave. I believe that sailing experience, even when accumulated over decades, should not be confused with professionalism, good manners, and respect towards customers who are paying for a specific service. It is one thing to have 30 years of experience at sea and quite another to understand what providing a professional tourism service means in 2026: safety, organization, transparency, comfort and, last but not least, respect for the customer. There were also restrictions that we found difficult to understand. We were even forbidden from consuming our own purchased coffee and our own food, with the explanation that “the boat is not a hotel.” Of course, any vessel may have rules justified by safety considerations, but these rules should be reasonable, explained politely and, above all, communicated before the service is purchased. We found that there are other companies in Naxos that, for comparable prices, offer far superior conditions, genuinely professional services, and an experience where passenger comfort and safety are taken seriously. I do not question the captain’s nautical experience. What I do question, however, is the idea that years of experience at sea can replace service quality, respect for the customer, and delivering what was actually advertised and paid for. For us, Anabella was not the semi-private experience that was promised, but rather a bus ride at sea, with 23 passengers crammed on board, sold at the price of a premium experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this experience.
