Our guide Erik was wonderful. The tour was beautiful! My only issue is that I do not think that enough emphasis is made on how extremely intensive the walking is. I honestly felt I was going to faint. Please be aware of this for your own safety!

This tour checks all the boxes
This is the tour to book if you want to see animals, get a picture with a toucan, see foliage, waterfalls, and see the rainforest. The guide is able to provide education and a conservation perspective. This or the full day version would be the best to get the most out of your time/tours.

Highly recommended
This experience was well worth it and we enjoyed ourselves immensely!!! You get a good amount of time, it’s stops going so it’s not so long being on the road, there was a buffet for food & Gary and the driver Fernando were very nice!!! Gary even took pics for us!

La Paz Waterfall Tour
Breathtaking views and beautiful waterfalls. Door to door service from San Jose hotels. Be prepared for climbing stairs down to the falls and back up. Wear good shoes. Tour guide very helpful and knowledgeable.

A nice excursion
With our driver (Cedric?) and our guide (Alejandro?) we were really lucky, because we were not only driven safely, but also well informed and accompanied - it could hardly get better!
On the way out we stopped just below the volcano Poas, could go to the toilet or buy small snacks.
Once in the gardens there was no Waiting time and we could first see the animals at the Peace Lodge and learn a lot of interesting facts there.
Afterwards we had lunch in a buffet restaurant, with many dishes to choose from and self-service.
Afterwards we went to see the waterfalls.
The tour was perfectly prepared and organized, highly recommended.
What I didn’t like at all (in the gardens?) is that two cattle had to stand in one place for hours with tourists for photo purposes.
I find this cruelty to animals and unethical and was astonished, as there is an initiative against this kind of animal selfie in Costa Rica.

Pleasant day with scenic...
Pleasant day with scenic views on the ride to the gardens. Tour guide Eric was very informative. We loved it, all the animals, butterflies, Ranas and the spectacular waterfalls.
