What a magnificent experience! Out driver Austin was a wonderful driver, I felt so safe. Van was so cleaned, smelled so good. Our guide was Percy! He was Amazing! So smart so knowledgeable and able to manage English and Spanish effortlessly. He has an amazing personality! Super friendly! Worth every cent. We did waterfalls 💦 , volcano 🌋 , strawberries 🍓 and coffee ☕️. All around superb experience.

At the time of booking,...
At the time of booking, the website said they pickup at all San Jose hotels. We subsequently received a message that we had to go to a different hotel to join the tour. We were picked up late so our time at the coffee plantation was cut short. The itinerary indicated that we would have 4 hours at the plantation but we spent less than 2 hours there including only having 15 minutes to taste test the different coffees and shop in the gift shop.
We always felt safe with our driver. He did a great job. Our tour guide was very good as well-knowledgeable and very passionate about the coffee plantation and sincerely wanted us to see the volcano crater. Unfortunately it was rainy/foggy that day so we did not get to view the crater.

We would like to clarify that your accommodation was located in Alajuela, approximately 36 kilometers from downtown San José. Our tour includes complimentary pick-up within the San José metropolitan area. At the time of booking, the pick-up location was not specified, and it was only after the reservation was confirmed that we were informed of the hotel location.
When a hotel falls outside our established operational area, the only available option is to arrange pick-up at the nearest official meeting point within our service zone. This policy allows us to operate the tour properly and consistently for all participants.
Regarding the time at the coffee plantation, the visit includes the guided educational experience, tasting session, and time for the gift shop within the scheduled operational window of the day. We regret if it felt shorter than anticipated, but the experience itself was delivered as planned.
We are very glad to hear that you felt safe with the driver and that the guide’s knowledge and passion made a positive impression. That is very important to us.
As for the volcano, weather conditions at Poás can unfortunately be unpredictable, and visibility depends entirely on natural conditions. Our team always makes the effort to provide the best possible experience despite these factors.

Excellent time, would recommend!
This was booked for a girls trip. The hotel pick up was seamless. Our tour guide, Mario (Bubba), was amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about coffee. The included breakfast at the coffee farm was tasty with generous portions. The tour of the grounds was informative and beautiful. They even have a butterfly garden. We sampled lots of coffee and chocolate at the gift shop. It was a cloudy day at Poas Volcano and did not see anything, but we still had a great time. We also stopped at a market to try local strawberries with condensed milk. Overall a great way to spend the day!

We could not have asked for a better guide than Jesús he was very friendly has paid attention to everything a very great knowledge was not only our guide but also the bus driver and explained to us during the bus ride everything about Costa Rica the Costa ricana and the coffee plantation and also at the poas

Don't pay extra
We paid more for this tour expecting more but sadly disappointed that we got the same type as people who paid $50 less!!

In this case, the rates we sell to the public match those we offer on our website, however there are many different sales channels, promotions and promotional discounts that the operator can use, in this case it works in the same way as an airline since the prices of the tours are fixed in terms of demand and supply, also if you book in time you can take advantage of better rates.

Discover everything about the process and preparation of the Coffee in a guided coffee tour.
Interesting tour with a very able guide providing a timely and competent service. Car was clean, well maintained and well driven , coffee farm tour was conducted by The Owner’s staff and was very informative. Lunch was provided at a local roadhouse in the company of the guide which made for a pleasant one on one discussion.
