I thoroughly enjoyed the concert at such a stunning venue!The musicians were incredible. The selections varied with just enough of the most popular as well as others that brought us back to the time and place where the composers lived. Don’t miss it!
Nice city view from the fortress. Buy tickets with plenty time. 4 musicians and a piano solist. 1.40 min presentation.
Beautiful experience. Easy to navigate once you find your bearings. More clarity needed on how to get up and down to the fortress (need to show ticket to the train provider and they will give ticket — must hold on to the ticket as you will need it at the end to leave as well!). The concert itself is wonderful and so engaging. The view from on top is also just breathtaking!
Great evening visiting the Fortress and listening to a wonderful performance. The piano and violin soloists were terrific.
A truly magical experience! The string quartet were amazing as was the pianist. To be sitting at the top of the fortress listening to expert musicians playing Mozart was unbelievably special. Highly recommend!
Easy to book, funicular ride was spectacular with our evening timing around sunset and views of the surroundings from the fortress were amazing. Just follow the signs for Konzert - there wasn’t anyone directing and it is a big place with various terrace restaurants so wasn’t sure exactly how to go but once I asked a staff at a terrace we found the elevator up. The musicians are fabulous and incredibly talented. An absolutely delightful performance and fun too! Just amazing evening of excellence! Definitely worth it!
Magical setting atop the Salzburg castle/ fortress with spectacular views of the city. A thoroughly enjoyable concert with talented and skilled musicians ...but not pure Mozart which I had expected and wanted.
The entertainment is wonderful. Make sure you're ready to climb some stairs. But, it's worth it. The dinner option is worth considering.
Incredible experience. Easy to take the funicular train to the Fortress. Go a bit early so you can walk around. Wear flat shoes for stairs, cobblestones and sandy pathways. The concert is at the very top of the Fortress in a gorgeous room with amazing acoustics for chamber music. The artists are so very talented. We purchased a sparkling white wine to enjoy during the concert.
This was a lovely experience. You take a tram/elevator up the mountain. I would get there at least 30-45 minutes early to explore the castle first. You have to climb a lot of stairs up to the top of the castle for the concert. I didn't see an elevator anywhere. They sell some drinks outside of the concert room. I sat in the last row and still had an amazing time. We watched the sunset behind the musicians.
