I booked a private tour with Viator to see the Accademia Gallery. I am an artist and arts educator and have visited the Gallery before but wanted to skip the line and see it again. I was running on 3 hours of sleep having just arrived in Florence but my guide Alex was excellent! She not only found me outside (when i did not meet in correct place) but toured me through the museum with excitement, knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise! I have been to many art lectures, so my bar is high in terms of evaluating docents but I was thoroughly captivated (on little sleep to boot!) Highly recommend Alex and Viator tours!!

Alex was excellent. She was very thorough and gave details about history of Florence as it relates to the sculptures in the Accademia Gallery. The David statue was absolutely beautiful.

Brilliant collection. The David is a must-see. Our guide was a wonderful storyteller, really pointed out some interesting details we wouldn't have otherwise noticed.
The guide Francesca was very engaging and passionate, experience recommended to better appreciate Michelangelo's works and learn about aspects of his life.
We entered without queuing with Francesca Ciappi, a lovely and entertaining guide. Seeing the David is impressive in itself, but it was used much more with the explanations of the guide.
