Gino was fantastic, he kept his group controlled, informed and engaged.. highly recommend Although if you are looking for a VERY thorough tour, this may not be it, 2ish hours is not enough, you will need to venture off on your own afterwards..
Everything about Pompeii and our guide was fantastic. The train ride there was not good (extremely crowded and the group got separated and out of earshot from the guide). It would help if the guide would tell us the stop beforehand.
Excellent couple of hours in Pompei, the trip was made really interesting by the knowledge of our guide Gino who has been doing the tours for 35 years. He brought the the whole visit to life and had a excellent dry sense of humour. Would recommend 👌
We had a fantastic afternoon in Pompeii. Gino, our guide, was amazing. His sense of humor, knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious. The length was f the trip was perfect as it was very hot and sunny. Took the train from Sorrento. Easy to navigate. Highly recommend.

Pompeii is a massive area to explore. Having Mena guiding us gave us so much knowledge, more than if we went on our own. She made Pompeii come to life. Would 100% recommend.
Gino led our group of ~25 tourists through a memorable visit to Pompeii. He was very knowledgeable, incredibly passionate about Pompeii, and for a guy who’s not a native English speaker he’s quite funny which added some levity in the heat. You could save a few bucks and tour the site with the aid of a map of Pompeii but it wouldn’t be the same. Ask Gino about the Pink Floyd show in the (nearly) empty amphitheater in 1971.

Geno, the guide, was absolutely great. Engaging, knowledgeable, friendly, provided a lot of context and interesting facts the other guides in area seemed to miss. BTW, don’t try self guided tour using pamphlets, nothing is clearly labeled on excavation site
