As retirees, we do not typically rise to the starter's blast of an alarm. And yet we accepted the lure of visiting Meteora and Delphi in a day. We were off at 6 am when Sebastian invited us to take a seat for adventure. It is quite the bite to race from Athens to Vralaam monastery but Sebastian was up for the task. He was capable enough to point out the changes in scenery, the current crops, the difference in topography, and fill us in on the religious history that lead to this region's attraction for the monks. After a leisurely visit thru the incredibly beautiful grounds, precious art, informative museum, and functional areas of monastic life we cruised the scenic outlooks to see the other monasteries that look down from the cliffs. The whole area is geologically fascinating and the mind boggling structures are crafted onto the cliff edges as if nature anticipated their construction. The obligatory pit stop for a gyro, and fries got us back on course and headed toward Thermopylae. This pass around the backside brought perspective to the Greco-Persian wars. The monuments recalled Thespis, the fall of Leonidas, the third and final stage of the battle here where the Persian archers rained arrows down on the remaining warriors. Sebastian's narration kept pace with our journey and was about to reach it's final lap as Delphi came into view. An excellent example for the preservation of antiquities. The museum gave us a solid background for our walk thru the archeological site. This walk through historic treasure gives scale to the history and civic accomplishments of the time. We hit the finish line with dinner of greek salad, dolmes, tzaziki with bread, pastitsio, gemista, and red wine. After a 13 1/2 hour trip Sebastian returned us in a more educated and happily entertained condition. We had a blast!

Long day tour with Marselo! We woke up early in the morning, we got coffee and we got to see some of the best places in the Greek mainland, my personal favourite is Delphi, such a great preserved archaeological site, everything was still in great shape. Meteora was unforgettable as well, I mean how did they even build these monasteries?? Great great day, we will never forget it. Thank you again Marselo!!

Paddy the tour guide and driver was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The history lesson he provided was very informative Provided us with snacks and drinks. If you want a long hours tour Paddy is “ The Guide “Go Paddy!!! The dinner on the other hand after the tour was anti - climactic.

Delphi and Meteora are a must see! Our driver Georgio was terrific. Here are things to consider: in 7 different tours booked through Viator we were driven in a van. This tour asked us for an additional $150 euro to get a van. Since the tour for 4 people was about $900USD, I said no, so we were tight in the Mercedes coupe we were driven in, the check engine light on the entire 12 hour day. Dinner was edible but the worst food we had in Greece. Sorry to complain but travelers need to know this before booking.

Overall, the vehicle was comfortable, and the driver was very friendly and accommodating. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. Only one snack option was available, and sodas were not provided despite being advertised. On the positive side, the restaurant selected for the dinner stop was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Delphi and Meteora are stunning and definitely worth visiting. One disappointment was that the driver skipped two locations listed on the itinerary, explaining that there was not much to see at those stops. Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful day overall and enjoyed the experience.

Beautiful and so neat to see the Monasteries! Delphi and Archova were cool to see as well. Long day but soo worth it. Constantine was soo personable and informative. One of the best tour guides we have ever had. If you want to avoid the big tours than this is the one for you.

AVOID! AVOID!! AVOID!!! Very poor experience overall. Operator suggested to take a van for convenience due to long travel; Paid $200 extra for van. Van seating was nothing but inflexible bench seats. This lead to very uncomfortable ride. Driver excessively speeding throughout the trip. Finished overall what it is supposed to take 14 hours; under 12.5 hours mostly because of speeding. Sight seeing was self directed with little guidance from driver. Dinner arrangement post trip was horrendous. Place was owned by the operator. It was a dusty dungeon in a beat up neighborhood. Salad was huge chunks of vegetables; slapped with bottled /packaged cheap quality food. Wine was warm tasted like piss - literally. Had to get out of the place in a rush. Overall this is very bad. AVOID THIS OPERATOR AT ALL COSTS!!! I never give negative remarks. This experience was so bad that I had to leave one to help others in future.

5/5. Cristiano was a real gentleman, who drove us to Meteora from Athens and back. My mother has Motor Neurone Disease and her mobility is limited, and Cristiano was so helpful with my mother and loading/unloading her wheelchair and helping her in and out of it. He was also helpful with our luggage, loading and unloading it to the front reception of our hotels, which truly made a difference as I was occupied with helping my mother. He’s a wonderful man, very kind and patient, and my mother and I are both truly grateful to him for his kindness and generosity.

This is an extremely LONG day in the car and very high intensity sight seeing. Lots of steps and steep inclines to see these sights. The sights were great. The host was very friendly, polite and professional. His driving was a bit erratic and very fast.
