京都オリジナルの少人数寿司作り体験として、奥深さ、個人指導、本格的な技術を重視したワークショップです。 わずか8名のゲストのみで構成されるこのクラスは、リラックスした対話型のペースで行われ、質問や実践的な練習、日本語講師による個別のフィードバックに十分な時間を費やします。 上質な鮮魚と厳選された地元食材を使い、ご飯の味付けから握り、巻き巻き寿司まで、ゲストがしっかりとした地盤を築く。 清水寺や祇園の近くにある、美しく復元された歴史ある町家を舞台に、落ち着いた洗練された空間で、職人の技を存分に活かし、作り上げた寿司を堪能できる。

We could not have asked for a more gracious and charming host. Kana and assistant Kevin were incredibly friendly and made the experience one for my teen/tween daughters and I to remember. After a day of sightseeing and exploring, entering their sushi making kitchen and dining space felt immediately peaceful. Making sushi with Kana was engaging and informative as we chatted the night away. Kana and Kevin were kind, and freely shared their knowledge and insight into Japan with us. It was like having dinner with friends. Highly recommend!

We loved our sushi class! Kana was a wonderful teach, and we had such a lovely evening at this workshop. We learned how to make delicious nigiri and maki. Kana was very kind and friendly. This was our first trip to Japan, and joining Atelier Sushi's sushi-making class was one of the highlights of our journey! Kana shared how she learned this craft from her family and continues to run it as a family business today. Her passion and appreciation for what she does were inspiring, and her story resonated with me on a personal level. As complete beginners, we were quite nervous, but Kana was incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging. She explained everything clearly and made the entire experience fun and stress-free. We also loved chatting with her husband, Kerim. They both took a genuine interest in getting to know us and even recommended places for us to visit during our stay in Japan. What stood out most was how personal and welcoming the experience felt. It wasn't just a cooking class; it felt like being welcomed into someone's home and sharing a small piece of their culture. If you're looking for an authentic, warm, and memorable experience in Japan, I highly recommend this class. The personal touch and genuine hospitality made it truly special. We got to make sushi while being guided step by step. The food turned out amazing. I would never order sushi but now I’m inclined to make my own at home.
