This was a total rip off. 350 euros to essentially chop up some tomatoes. Do not do this experience as you will learn nothing and waste your money. This totally ruined our Greek experience and as a single mother I felt completely violated.

Dear Miss Baker, thank you for your review. Please allow me to address a few points about it.
1. You paid 350 euros for 3 people, so around 116 euros per person. With these 116 euros, you have spent your evening in a real Greek home, where the person actually living in it (me) cooked for you in the very same kitchen that cooks for the family.
And also, teaching you a lot about healthy eating and living. Also, you were upgraded to a private class for free and with unlimited wine. I am not sure how much you pay for that elsewhere.
2. Plus the fact that because I only had rose wine chilled, when you left, I gave you as a gift a bottle of white wine!
3. You mentioned that your younger daughter is vegetarian, therefore I had to adjust the recipes based on this. Otherwise, you would have veal in your menu.
4. Still, you had 5 dishes (Cheese pie with honey, tomato fritters, Greek salad, Giouvetsi, Greek donuts with honey and cinnamon) and where I could not use meat, I used feta cheese. And as you mentioned, the food was so much, that you took leftovers with you, which I happily packed for you!
5. As I mentioned on my website, where you originally found me and not via Viator, I am cooking Greek traditional recipes and that was the point of this cooking class. Thus, the menu above.
6. Those tomatoes and cucumbers, are homegrown by me, they are organic and freshly harvest before the class, not sure how much you price that.
7. I guess when you are going to a restaurant, you pay only the cost of the ingredients. Not for the service, premises, or anything else.
8. The actual cooking class lasts 1 hour and my HOME is open for another 1 hour and 30 minutes to enjoy your meal without any rush. It was your choice to leave earlier.
9. As I explained from the beginning, you are not allowed to get near an open flame by law for safety reasons, but you did everything else than frying!
