Alessandro is the man! A must for any pasta enthusiast. Great food and even better company.
Alessandro was an excellent teacher, guiding us through pasta and pesto making while providing relevant historical context. The view from the palace location was beautiful. Highly recommend this cooking experience!
Thank you to Alessandro for his patience and passion in his explanations! We greatly enjoyed preparing these different types of fresh pasta and especially the famous Genoese pesto. Activity shared with a charming American couple, Alessandro was able to juggle between languages when needed. We are looking forward to trying to recreate all these recipes!
As part of our holiday we attended this cooking workshop because we like to make fresh pasta ourselves. Alessandro told us a thing or two about the palace and its history on arrival and then led us to the workshop space. Although we have gained a lot of information about making pasta ourselves in the past few years, we have gained new tips and inspiration to continue at home. After making the pesto and pasta it was time to enjoy the delicious meal on the terrace. Had a lovely morning!
Alessandro was a wonderful host. It was easy to find him at the meeting place . The class was in a nice working space in a palace. We made two different types of pasta and we can’t wait to try it at home. We learned about the process of making pesto and what we had been doing wrong when we tried to make it ourselves. One other couple joined us for the class. They were made of Italians, but we are got along, and the conversation /communication was pleasant as we ate lunch and enjoyed our work. We had great wine and a beautiful view on the terrace of an ancient Jesuit church nextdoor
We had a great cooking workshop in Genova with our teacher/cook Allesandro. We cooked pasta pesto from scratch. Our kids (ages around 20) liked it as well. We ate it with some local wine on the rooftop of a Palazzo. It also inspired us to cook it at home. We went from 1600 till 2000, so no dinner needed that day. If you count the food it is not expensive at all.
It was a really nice experience and it tasted delicious.
Great! We loved learning how to prepare pesto and two varieties of fresh pasta with the advice of Alessandro. And the highlight of the morning was the tasting on the quiet terrace with stunning views. I highly recommend!
This was such a fun experience with Alessandro, he was helpful and kind and taught us how to make different pasta shapes as well as pesto. He was happy to help and to offer recommendations for places to visit in Genova. The whole experience was extremely fun and I would recommend doing it with your partner if you happen to be visiting Genova! Would 100% recommend.
It was a great experience!! The place is just great at the top of a private palazzo, Alessandro was very attentive and very pleasant in learning authentic Italian cuisine! If you are visiting Genoa you must definitely try this experience!
