The tour was guided by Rafael. Rafael, an ex navy official, has a very complete knowledge of the bay and guided us in a very competent way and with lots of humour. The tour itself was very complete and worth every pence. It lasts 4h and leads you all along old Rio’s bay up to Ipanema beach and the islands off the coast including two stops for swimming.
It was a perfect experience ! Our guide explained everything to us in portuguese and English with such good every! Plenty of drinks on boat and wonderful tour all around. Swimming spots on point as well !!! Thank youuuu He Even let out my boyfriend next to our hotel because he had sea sickness !!
Excellent ride and experience!! We went with friends and had a great time! Beautiful view of Rio from the sea. Highly recommended!
I did not end up going on this tour. They texted a day before departure and indicated that the tour would need to leave at 10am for the incoming weather. They only gave an option to do the 10am tour which ended up not working with my schedule and did not offer a refund in the message. Book with caution if you do not have a flexible schedule.

Trip was cancelled due to weather conditions by tour operator. Cancellation by them not me.however, money was paid and taken for the trip.with no information on a refund due to the tour company cancellation. I’ve tried to find out this but unable to access any info at all without going through several means of enquiry instead of it just being refunded instantly why is everything so complicated when you want a refund!! When booking is so simple.

Wonderful fun speedboat tour. We got a lot of great photos and we swam in the ocean. So much fun! There was water, beer and soda. Captain was great!
