I honestly couldn’t believe I was being picked up by a motorcycle since I was the only one on the tour. That was problematic. Other than that, the tour was amazing. Yeah, I took the motorcycle - it was crazy!

Marvyn was our guide and we could not be happier. Super attentive, kind, and at all times trying to make us feel comfortable and give us our time for every moment. He took photos of us that he later sent to our personal phones and gave us information about the city, as well as recommendations for places to visit, where to eat... The activity lasts 3.30 hours and you go up by motorcycle (passing through the Vidigal favela) to the entrance of the trail

They showed us the best experience! They even waited as we were late which was due to traffic and they were very respectful, personable, patient and understanding. I’d give them whatever I have for the time they showed us on the hike!

Awesome hike and breathtaking views! The host was awesome — super friendly, professional, and clearly knows the trail inside out. His English was excellent, which made communication easy and has super chill vibes!

First things first, our guide was very friendly and we had a good time on the hike. Disclaimer, the hike can be quite challenging for beginners both up and down the trail. Especially in hot weather. (Loads of people were slipping) I wouldn’t say this was not the most informative tour. The group asked plenty of questions throughout the hike that were not answered or answered with not much detail or explanation. I really appreciate the familiarity our guide had with the local people. It made travelling through the favela by motorcycle much more reassuring. Overall, having a guide was useful when arriving at Vidigal to ensure safe travels to and from the park. However, the guide was not very informative and I believe transportation and entrance fee should have been included.

I had a fabulous time on the tour! Leo was our guide and he was so helpful. He gave us break when we needed it and helped us in the trickier parts of the hike. I would recommend!

Rodrigo was an excellent guide. He is very familiar with the hiking trail in addition to the history of Rio; I learned a lot of the surrounding area and Favela through Rodrigo. He was also kind enough to take the best pictures at the peak since I didn’t want to go all the way to the edge. Further, he provided great recs for food, shopping and sightseeing in Rio. I highly recommend booking a tour with Rodrigo!

We had the best time!! Rodrigo was an exceptional guide and the hike was beautiful! I wish we had found Rodrigo sooner because we would have scheduled more hikes with him this trip!! Next time we are in Rio, we will definitely be looking him up for our next adventure!!
