プライベート ツアーはアテネから始まり、ペロポネソス半島内の風光明媚で美しい風景を巡ります。私たちの最初の目的地はコリント地峡です。コリント地峡は中央ギリシャとペロポネソス半島を結ぶ狭い土地で、そこに開通した運河がサロニコス湾とコリント湾を結んでいます。長さは約 6 キロメートルで、最も狭い地点はコリント運河が建設された場所です (1880 ～ 1893 年)。ここは戦略上の要衝であったため、古代 (紀元前 5 世紀末) からすでに城壁が建設されており、ビザンチン時代まで保存されていました。 （ヘキサミリオン）。
オリンピアは、ギリシャのペロポネソス半島のエリスにある小さな町で、近くに同じ名前の遺跡があることで有名です。この場所は古代ギリシャの全ギリシャの主要な宗教聖地であり、紀元前 8 世紀から紀元後 4 世紀まで、古典古代を通じて 4 年ごとに古代オリンピックが開催されました。これらは、卓越性をめぐる平和的な国際競争の理想を記念して、1894 年に世界規模で復元されました。
ペロポネソス半島西部、アルフェイオス川の美しい渓谷に、古代ギリシャで最も有名な聖域があります。神々の父ゼウスに捧げられたこの城は、クロニオス山の南西麓、アルフェイオス川とクラデオス川の合流点にあり、緑豊かな風景の中にあります。オリンピアはペロポネソス半島の西海岸近くの人里離れた場所にありましたが、ギリシャで最も重要な宗教とスポーツの中心地となりました。その名声は、ゼウスを讃えるために 4 年ごとに開催される、国内最大の祭典であり、世界的に非常に名誉ある祭典であるオリンピックにかかっています。 ユネスコの世界遺産ウェブサイトによると、おそらく世界中のどこにも、オリンピアほど今日の世界に関連性のある古代遺跡はないでしょう。古代オリンピックが開催されたオリンピア競技場と、ペロポネソス最大の神殿である巨大なゼウス神殿は、この場所の最も重要な観光スポットです。
ここは古代オリンピックのほとんどが開催されたスタジアムです。競馬場は長さ 200 メートル以上、幅はほぼ 30 ～ 34 メートルです。
スタジアムの近くにあるゼウス神殿は、地元の建築家によって紀元前 5 世紀に建てられました。神殿は石灰岩と大理石でできていました。歴史的記録には、この寺院の中でゼウスの巨大な黄金の像が発見されたと記載されています。
ギリシャ最古の神殿の 1 つである女神ヘラを祀るこの神殿は、ドリア式に基づいて紀元前 7 世紀に建設されました。現在、ここはオリンピック前に聖火が採火される祭壇です。
アルティス内にある唯一の円形の建物であるフィリピイオンは、古代ギリシャ建築の最高傑作の 1 つです。ヘラ神殿の西に位置し、マケドニア王フィリッポス 2 世によってゼウスに捧げられました。
パラエストラはアルティスの囲いの西、クラデオス川の近くに位置しています。紀元前 3 世紀に体育館の一部として建てられ、ボクシング、レスリング、ジャンプの練習に使用されました。
ギリシャで最高の博物館の一つと考えられている考古学博物館には、古代遺跡やこの地域のその他の発掘品からの発見物が収蔵されています。きちんとラベルが貼られ、多くの部屋があるこの博物館の最も有名な展示品は、プラクシテレスのヘルメスとニケ・パイオニオスの彫像です。
オリンピック歴史博物館は、古代オリンピアの古い考古学博物館内にあります。古代のゲームに関連する地域全体からの発見物が保管されています。

We booked the trip only one day in advance, since our last trip provider (from another company) just didn't show up. We were totally amazed by the experience Greece Athens Taxi GAT offered us and definitely recommend it to everyone interested in a private day-trip with a pleasant driver! The mini-bus we were travelling with, was very spacious (we only had 4 persons in our group), there was WiFi on the bus (although the connection was a bit intermittent sometimes, but overall amazing extra feature to offer), you could charge your phone on the mini-van. We occured some minor technical problems with the mini-van we were travelling with, but this is the part we were truly amazed by the service! The driver had already found a solution with a second transportation bus that was already on the way to our spot where we had to stop and that was a guarantee for us that we had been taken good care of. Something you don't see so often in Greece and we definitely didn't experience such problem-solving service from any other company/service in our trip in Greece that time. They even offered us free transport to the airport after that minor incident, which was also very kind from them. Our driver - Andreas - did know a lot about Greece and so our drive to Ancient Olympics was also an informative tour, rather than just a bus drive. He was very kind and professional with his job. The trip back to Athens was also great, because we took another route back through Korintos Canal - something worth seeing for sure.

It was a very good experience. The driver was friendly and professional and the car excellent. There happened an unfortunate electronics problem with the car, but the driver handled the situation exceptionally well and the trip was not affected. Overall we're very satisfied. Would recommend!

Our driver, Bledi, went over and above to show us the sights, to fulfill our interests, and to improve our knowledge of the archeological sites. He was very attentive to our comfort and drove in a very professional manner. He even went above and beyond helping us to find a Covid testing site.
