I was very disappointed with the booking process and the amount of time, frustration, and additional expense it took to get everything arranged correctly. I initially booked a car service from Venice, Italy, to Chioggia Port for a cruise. Since I had never been there, I didn’t realize I would also need a water taxi. I called customer service, and they were wonderful. They refunded my original booking and helped me change it. Then I received a message through the app requesting information about our pickup and luggage. I was told I needed to cancel and rebook AGAIN because they could only accommodate one piece of luggage per person, and we had three pieces for two people. This restriction was not clearly stated on the website when I booked, nor was it mentioned when I originally spoke with customer service. I asked for a phone number through the app but was simply told to cancel and rebook. Luckily, I had printed my previous confirmation, which included a phone number. I called again, and customer service was very helpful. However, because of the third piece of luggage, I had to pay for an additional passenger/seat, bringing the total cost to over $700. In my opinion, that is extremely expensive, especially since the luggage restriction was not disclosed upfront. Unfortunately, the water taxi was not added to the new reservation. I then had to cancel for the THIRD time and call to rebook AGAIN. At this point, I was extremely frustrated. Viator needs to clearly disclose luggage restrictions and make it easier to contact customer service through the app. The messaging system was not helpful, and the booking information was not clear enough. The only positive aspects were the customer service representatives, who were consistently helpful and courteous, and the drivers, who were great. Overall, this was far more complicated, expensive, and stressful than it needed to be. If I had another option, I would have used it.

Water taxi was on time and handoff to limo driver was seamless. Our driver was waiting to pick us up at the dock. Communication in the app was really helpful. They confirmed time of pickup etc.

I needed a water taxi with land transportation to the cruise port. Things were well organized and everything went smoothly. The land driver was an excellent driver and the ride was smooth. I did hire a porter to take my luggage from my hotel to the water taxi station for an additional 35 euros since my hotel didn’t have a water taxi dock. It would have been nice to have that included especially with the high cost of this transportation. I gave this 4 stars because of the high cost.

I needed to arrange transport from our hotel in Venice to the port in Chioggia; this required a water taxi from the hotel to a meeting point with a driver. Communication with the company easy and clear; the drivers were prompt, professional and friendly. The entire journey was very smooth!

Everything was perfect! The driver proactively communicated to us and was exactly where he said he would be. He was friendly, punctual, and professional. He got us to the water taxi on time, and we enjoyed a fantastic ride to the steps of our hotel. Viator is worth every cent! We would do it again in a heartbeat.

This water taxi pick up was right on time. We were told our land taxi driver was a few minutes late and to wait at the top of the dock. We waited 20 mins before calling and after a couple of calls and WhatsApp photos it turns out we were standing 20ft from each other the entire time. All could have been avoided if he would have had a sign like all the other transfers we had.

It was a very pretty way to enter the city. The people working there were all friendly & courteous. The water taxi was clean.

Boat met us at the hotel on-time. The transfer to the van was perfect. The van driver met us at the boat, helped unload luggage and walked us to the nearby van. Smooth trip to the port and our ship.
