Absolutely fantastic evening on the walking food tour. We sampled lovely food from 3 different restaurants and came away full to bursting! Edith was a wonderful host, full of knowledge and engaging conversation. We’d highly recommend this tour.
Edith is passionate about veganism and Budapest. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. She entertained us with stories and brought us to her favorite restaurants. We had a wonderful time! Thanks so much!!
Edith is a wonderful guide and a great advocate for Vegan food and lifestyle. She has great knowledge about the dishes and the traditions behind them. She combines this with deep knowledge and a love of Budapest. All of this made for a truly memorable, insightful, and enjoyable afternoon together. Highly recommended!
This was a fantastic tour of Budapest’s vegan food with a delightful guide who made things easy. Come to this tour with an empty stomach!
Edith was warm and welcoming. She took the group (just myself and another solo traveller) around like we were new friends. Though I've enjoyed learning about the sociopolitical history of Budapest in another, more structured food tour, I liked that Edith's talking points were more about the context of the dishes and venues, her personal experiences and the conversation was otherwise led by the group. Her easy-going approach to conversations on the tour was complimented by the efficiency of using public transport to cover more ground quickly. I was happy with how much we ate and the mix of sweet and savoury. As a meat eater, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy the vegan goulash more than the traditional beef (separate to this tour).
I can’t recommend this vegan food tour enough. Our guide, Edith, was not only knowledgeable but also so warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about both vegan cuisine and local culture. From the moment we met her, she made us feel welcome and at ease. Every stop on the tour was a delicious adventure. The vegan pepeikosh was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The vegan goulash soup was just as comforting, with hearty vegetables. And let’s not forget dessert - the chimney cake was yummy. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Edith’s warmth and kindness truly made the tour feel personalized. Her thoughtful recommendations, and constant smile made it so much more than just a food tour. Thank you, Edith, for a lovely afternoon.
The food tour was amazing. Edith is lovely , the communication is excellent. Very good value for money as she took us to 4 different top class places on the public transport first with the typical Hungarian bakery, then two different Vegan restaurants that served vegan traditional goulash and paprikas, finished off with freshly cooked chimney cake filling with homemade vegan ice cream. Edith is also a chef and had so much knowledge of vegan and food so she share passion for cooking vegan and tips on ingredients etc. Do not miss this tour we are happy with belly full at the end . Thank you so much. We had a great time.
We had a wonderful experience with Edith. She is very kind and very knowledgeable person. She took us to some very authentic vegan experience which made us go there three more times. We enjoyed every detail of the trip and the thing is this vegan tour is so nicely planned around the city so we got lot of tips from Edith on where to go for different activities. We will definitely recommend this tour with Edith.
We enjoyed the vegan Hungarian food that our guide Edith introduced us to. We likewise enjoyed her company.
My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. We met at a central location in the city and used public transportation to travel to each spot. There is just so much food - it was our dinner and next day's breakfast too! Edith made sure to point out vegan signage at the entrance of each restaurant. We stopped by a bakery (the Mediterranean pastry was delicious), then to a restaurant that makes its own seitan for the paprikas, over to get bean gulyas, and finally chimney cakes (we got one with ice cream and one with pistachio cream). ***For the paprikas, ask for the spicy paste (erős pista) - it makes all the difference and really elevates the dish. The gulyas too is better with the addition of spice and was my favorite thing we ate. Edith is a delightful, knowledgeable guide! Thank you for the enjoyable tour!
