My wife and I had an amazing experience from beginning to end on this tour. Every part of the day was fantastic, and despite how much is packed into the itinerary, the tour never felt rushed. The timing was managed extremely well, and everything flowed smoothly from one experience to the next. One thing to be aware of is that this is a very long day. We were picked up around 4:30 AM and didn’t return to our accommodation until around 10:30–11:00 PM. If you’re mentally prepared for a full, busy day, though, I would absolutely recommend it. There is so much to see and do that the long day is completely worth it. What made the experience even better for us was choosing the private tour. Having our own driver, our own guide, and our own vehicle made a huge difference. Instead of being packed into a tour bus or van with a group of people, my wife and I could relax in the back seat between stops. We were able to close our eyes, rest, and enjoy some peace and privacy during the longer drives. For us, paying extra for the private experience was absolutely worth it. Every part of the tour was memorable. The boat portion and the scenery were incredible, and we saw some amazing sights and wildlife along the way. From there, we visited a vineyard, where we toured the property and sampled some of the wines and piscos they produce. The lunch there was also fantastic, and the restaurant was excellent. Then we headed to Huacachina, where we took the dune buggy through the desert. That was one of the highlights of the day. The ride was exciting and incredibly fun without being uncomfortably bumpy. Cruising through the massive sand dunes was such a unique experience. As the sun began to set, we were taken to a beautiful spot on top of the dunes where we had a private picnic while watching the sunset. It was a perfect way to end an incredible day. I also want to give special praise to our driver and our guide. Both were extremely pleasant, professional, and attentive. They genuinely went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, enjoying ourselves, and having the best experience possible. They managed the timing of the entire day incredibly well. If you’re deciding between this private tour and a larger group tour, I would strongly recommend spending the extra money for the private option if you can afford it. Not having to constantly get on and off a crowded bus or van made the entire day so much more comfortable and enjoyable. The privacy, flexibility, and ability to relax between activities were absolutely worth the additional cost. The boat, the wildlife, the vineyard, the food, Huacachina, the dune buggy, the sunset, and the private picnic were all fantastic. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended! Just be prepared for a very long day, and you’ll have an unforgettable experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
