Es tut uns leid, dass Ihr Besuch nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen hat. Gerne möchten wir einige wichtige Informationen ergänzen: Unser Museum ist eine 7.000 m² große Open-Air-Ausstellung mit rund 200 großen und kleinen Sandskulpturen. Alle Werke entstehen aus 10.000 Tonnen speziellem Flusssand und werden von 25–30 internationalen Bildhauern sowie einem ebenso großen technischen Team in wochenlanger Feinarbeit geschaffen. Die Sandskulpturenkunst ist von Natur aus ephemer, also vergänglich und den Elementen ausgesetzt. Sie basiert auf der künstlerischen Philosophie, dass „nichts für immer bestehen bleibt“. Die Skulpturen bestehen nicht aus Stein, Metall oder Beton – sondern ausschließlich aus Sand und Wasser. Daher sind kleinere Veränderungen durch Regen, Wind oder äußere Bedingungen Teil des natürlichen Prozesses. Ebenso können an einzelnen Stellen kleine Pflanzen oder Grashalme entstehen – auch das ist bei einer offenen Sandfläche normal und wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Restaurierungsarbeiten erfolgen kontinuierlich, jedoch ist eine sofortige Ausbesserung bei jedem Wetterereignis nicht immer möglich. Als Open-Air-Ausstellung ist es zudem völlig normal, dass Wege bei Regen nass oder leicht rutschig werden. Im gesamten Gelände sind hierzu Hinweisschilder und Sicherheitsmarkierungen angebracht. Bei starkem Regen bleibt die Ausstellung aus Sicherheitsgründen geschlossen. Besonders stolz sind wir auf unsere Sphinx- und Pyramiden-Skulpturen, die seit 10 Jahren bestehen und derzeit für das Guinness-Buch der Rekorde als „die am längsten ununterbrochen erhaltenen Sandskulpturen der Welt“ eingereicht wurden. Mit einem einzigen Ticket können Besucher die Ausstellung sowohl tagsüber als auch nachts erleben – zwei völlig unterschiedliche Atmosphären. Zusätzlich bieten wir bei geeigneten Himmelsbedingungen eine kostenlose Teleskopbeobachtung von Mond, Saturn oder Jupiter an. Ihre Rückmeldung ist für uns sehr wertvoll. All sculptures in our 7,000 m² exhibition are made entirely from river sand and water, crafted by 25–30 international sculptors. Because these artworks are 100% natural, weather conditions such as rain or humidity can cause small cracks or erosion over time. This is part of the ephemeral character of sand art, and our restoration team regularly maintains and repairs the sculptures throughout the season. Your ticket also includes both daytime and nighttime access, where the sculptures are illuminated under a spectacular light show, offering two completely different atmospheres. Sand sculptures are, by their nature, created only with river sand and water, and they are continuously affected by wind, humidity and weather conditions. Small surface changes can therefore occur, and our sculptors regularly carry out careful restorations to preserve the artworks without losing their original character. This ongoing process is part of what makes sand art unique and alive. We understand your comment about daytime viewing. For this reason, Sandland tickets are valid for two visits on the same day: one during the day and one at night, when the sculptures are illuminated and the atmosphere is very different. Many visitors find the nighttime experience especially impressive. It may also be interesting to know that some of our sculptures, such as the Sphinx and the Egyptian Pyramid, have been standing since 2015 and are among the world’s longest-standing sand sculptures, currently candidates for Guinness World Records — maintained with minimal intervention specifically for this purpose.
