It was an ok tour. Didn’t really learn as much about the history of the city as we would have liked. Pointed out a couple of paintings on electrical boxes to describe the carnation revolution of 1964, took us through the fish market, passed out some coupons for places to eat… barely touched on the slave trade which is a huge historical point in this city. We did learn about why there are some rundown buildings (nothing to do with their earth quack or tsunami), an easy way to understand Portuguese words and about some of the statues that are around town. He was pleasant and you could tell how much he fell in love with this city (he’s from Australia I believe), and at times I could sense a sadness in how things are changing since he first arrived many years ago.

Lynne, I reckon you were OK, nothing more but the fact I can’t remember you says you weren’t anything special. My walking tour is however, I pointed to some street art on an electrical box to teach you about an important date in Portuguese history , the Carnation Revolution of 1974 (not 64) maybe listen before being a keyboard warrior. I talk about the slave trade, like most people I like im not woke, if you wanted a slave history tour visit the museum I informed my guests exists and can be visited for a mere €3. I taught you the entire history of the earthquake and tsunami of 1755 and more than 100 words. Sorry you’re impossible to please, good luck to your husband

Best Walking Tour Ever
We’ve been on lots of free walking tours over many years and this was the best one yet.
Very knowledgeable and very entertaining, we enjoyed it so much that we signed up for the wine tasting tour a couple of days later which was just fantastic.
Thanks Brodie for making our visit to Lagos a spectacular and very memorable trip, just a shame we missed the pub quiz.
If you ever find yourself in our part of the world then definitely look us up, we’d be very happy to show you around.

Tour the Brodie Way
This is an informative and entertaining tour with a layed back guide who gives a flavour of the town and culture from an expat viewpoint keen for clients to get the most out of their visit. If you come back with one key fact ...it may be how to order two coffees in portugese!
