This was our last stop on a cruise. The snorkeling was not as good as I expected but the tour guide and captain were pleasant and aimed to please. Although they indicated what marina to go to, it was not clear where to go once we got there and we had to call. Secondly, be aware that they charge a marina fee per person. I feel they should include that in the price of the tour so you know up front what the cost is going to be. It states the cost is $11 per person, but that is if you bring cash so make sure you bring cash. We used a credit card so they charged us in pesos which turned out to be a little over $13 per person. They didn’t charge us in US dollars because they didn’t want to pay the foreign exchange fee their bank would have charged them. So bring cash if you want to pay only $11 per person. In addition, although we thought this was a 20 minute walk from the cruise port, it turned out to be a $20 cab ride from the other cruise port where we were docked. So this tour ended up costing $60 more than we expected for the two of us. The first reef was deep so you couldn’t see much unless you were willing to dive down. The second reef was better. It had more fish but there wasn’t much coral. We also saw a couple sea turtles reef sharks. The third stop had mostly sand and quite a few starfish but not much else. We had much better snorkeling in Roatan. They did provide beer, soda and water as well as a snack with corn chips and ceviche. The tour was average but I was mostly disappointed that the cost ended up being significantly higher than expected, not all of which was their fault.

Avoid Dreamland tours
I turned to Dreamland tour ....terrible...I booked a tour from Rome and asked if it was okay to pay on-site in case of any unforeseen events and I was told that it was not a problem...multiple times I asked the guy who manages the tours to send me the location but I received no response.. Arriving in Cozumel, the gentleman would not answer his cell phone and I asked many taxi drivers but no one knew the pier from which the tour departed..At that point, after 20 unanswered calls and for fear of being left without a tour, I purchased the tour from another agency, paying double ..At his convenience, 20 minutes before the tour departure, the gentleman from Dreamland calls me and tells me that they are waiting for me and that I would not be fair if I did not go with them. So, moved by respect and upon confirmation from the Lord of Dreamland, I cancel the tour, lose 40 dollars in penalties, and head to the taxi... halfway there he tells me no, I gave my seat to someone else... so I paid for a taxi, paid 40 dollars in penalties, and a new tour for the second time... obviously I don't recommend it to anyone, just avoid it... he also insulted me heavily.

Highlight of our holiday
This has to be the best trip in our fortnight holiday around Caribbean. Omar and the rest crew were friendly and so welcoming. The three diving spots were very different so good variety. The last one was in a shallow stunning beach where rays swam around us and we relaxed on white/pink sand having a snack and drinks - truly stunning. Thank you - loved by my three children and 2 adults. (If you are coming from cruise point it is about a 15/20 minute walk to marina - quite doable but hot so if prefer get a taxi which are plentiful both ways).

Ceviche and Stingrays! Muy Bueno!
Great day of snorkeling. Our guide Carlos was great! Saw spotted rays. Skates, lobsters, puffer fish, and tons of fish and coral at Columbia reef. We saw starfish at El Cielo and enjoyed fabulous ceviche and chips in the company of friendly rays as they glided past as we ate! A great experience! Thank you!

Bad experience on Cozumel tour
Lousy experience! He did not recommend the tour at all, travel with my mom and had an accident jumping ship derived from the little attention they put as they let you down how you can into the water, there are 2 guides for 20 people the safety measures are terrible, the life jackets do not fit you and when jumping they rise and your head is underwater, once you reach the destination they only leave you 15 minutes and get back on the boat, you do not enjoy it because they are more worried about returning for the next tour, they must improve in many things, unfortunately do not check their score before, but on Google they only have 2 stars and most reviews are bad, definitely look for another option if they plan to visit Cozumel!

Awesome snorkelling experience!
We had a great experience on this tour! Very well organized from start to finish with the multiple types of transportation we required from our resort in Puerto Morelos. Our tour guide Alejandro and the crew were kind and hospitable, Miguel took some amazing underwater photos and the price to purchase them all was a reasonable $30USD. Definitely worth it for the clarity alone! The food was tasty and more than enough.
Shoutout to a different tour guide, Rodrigo, who we ended up sitting beside on the ferry ride home, he shared a lot about the history of the island and photos. We appreciated it!
Of note: it was a very, very long day. Our travel agent at the resort gave the impression it was 6-7hrs total, but was approx. 11hrs roundtrip. We didn't realize the lengthy travel time involved between the shuttle, ferry and speedboat ride itself to snorkel –which was early afternoon before we got into the water. Bring a change of clothes for the wait time/shopping after the snorkel tour itself, until the next ferry arrives. If you’re not one for crowds, this experience is not for you as we were part of a large group leading up to and from the actual snorkelling tour.

Gorgeous views, lots of travel time from Playa Carmen
We booked a tour through our Playacar hotel for snorkeling in Cozumel. Probably not their fault but this tour is much more sitting and waiting to get to the snorkel sites than really snorkeling. Tour guide Danny was very good and we got some really cool photos. We did see a sting ray, fish, starfish, sea turtle. Just wish there was more time to snorkel at different sites. If your focus is to get in a lot of snorkeling, try another approach. If you want to ride in a boat, see beautiful Caribbean views, visit retail stores, and snorkel and swim a little, this is a great tour. (Btw charge was $30 to get copies of the cool photos. It was nice having a tour photographer).

Disappointing
I went on an excursion to Cozumel on September 7 with Cucurumbe Tours, they charged us a “marine tax” of $500 per person and they didn’t give me any receipt, they told me they would give it later but it didn’t happen. I asked in a tourist module and was told that there is no such tax, that what must be paid is a port tax to Cozumel that costs $90 pesos, they are brazen abusers.
