We joined Linda and a coach load of tourists for a tour to the Taxien temples, the Blue Grotto and the traditional fishing village. The swim opportunity was not possible because of the weather; well, it was winter. Instead we had extra time at the village. My favourite part was the visit to the temples. Prehistory is obviously a favourite topic for Linda and her knowledge and enthusiasm added value to the visit; better than reading info boards
I didn't like the beginning of the day so much about temples and the church. I think we spend a lot of time there. But from the moment we went to Kalanka Bay and the other places it was super nice
Our guide was very nice and interesting, full of. good advice and which allowed us to enjoy all the best aspects of this excursion combining natural and cultural riches
It was a fun day of seeing the main sites in southern Malta. I could not have done it on my own. Our guide Daiva was great (knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, & organized)! This tour has a lot of variety with approx 1 hour per stop. Historic temple ruins of Hal Tarxien. Zetjun church & museum (beautiful). Il-Kalanka cove (opportunity to swim or just enjoy the clear blue water/waves), Marsaxlokk harbor (cute town with marketplace, lots of boats, church, cafes; we had time for lunch there), & Blue Grotto (the extra 10 Euro cost for the boat ride [25-min long] is a must-do! It takes you to six coves/caves with amazingly blue water [sit on the front left side for best photo ops] [10 euro CASH ONLY, no credit cards]). I was smiling at the end of the tour & thanked the guide for a great tour. Note: for me, I was picked up in Valletta with others and taken to Sliema where we changed to a larger bus to start the tour; at the end at Blue Grotto, we were split in 2 groups for Valletta & Sliema drop-offs. 18 people on my tour. Highly recommended tour.
This tour is very good, you get to see many places of interest and the blue grotto at the end was beautiful, sadly the sea was rough today so we could not do a boat trip to see the grotto up close but didn’t ruin the trip. I have booked 3 tours with hello Malta, they were opposite my hotel and Marilyn was lovely and knowledgeable about all the trips. I settled on Gozo and blue lagoon (amazing a must do) 1/2day to Mdina (again amazing trip loads of destinations of wonderful Malta) Mario and Michael were the tour guides and they were both fantastic people and made the tours even better.
First of all, they were late more than 30 min for pickup. Second of all, there was written that we'd spend about 1 hour in each place, but we spent less. It should have been a full-day trip, but we came back to the hotel at about 5 p.m. However, the guide - Maria - was great :)
Dear Jurate, This is a Full Day Excursion, that's why you were picked up around 0900 hrs and tour finished around 1700 hrs. Program was done as written. In Malta sometimes we experience heavy traffic that's why we arrived late... it's something that we can't control.
The tours plan wasn’t done. It was in such hurry, I have feeling that I just looked around. At first we waited a bus 30 minutes. Departure was planned at 8:55. The drivers comment was ,,I don’t have a helicopter”. We had 45 minutes stop at historical place and had been listening to guides speech. The next stop also was a cathedral and we were there also nearly 30 minutes . From my perspective that guide likes historical and religious sites and thats why it was organized in that way. In a tour brochure was information that we should see Blu Grotto. We came there and found out that to see Blu Grotto we need go into the see with boats. That wasn’t available because of wind . Ok . I got it , but they only gave us free 20 minutes. I had a feeling no one was going to give us an opportunity to hire boats for Blu Grotto if it would have been possible . After this we had only an hour and 15 minutes for Marsaxlokk. We should walk around , take pics , admire the view and had dinner in that period of time . Also in tour brochure was announcement we should visit St. Paul's pool, but No, tour organizer missed it. Last stop was Kalanka bay . The guide gave us 45 minutes . I protested and then we were given an hour . I am disappointed. Not recommended!
Dear Madam, Thanks for your comment. Please note that the tour visits these places: Tarxien Temples Zejtun Church & Museum Kalanka Bay Marsaxlokk Blue Grotto From what you wrote, it seems that you did all the program. Blue Grotto, if the boats are working we give 60 minutes, but if the boats are not operating, there's nothing much to see and we give just few minutes for toilet stop. Regarding pick up in the morning, we were late due to heavy traffic we found in the morning. I suggest, that before you book a tour, you read where it goes first..
I had the absolute misfortune of booking a tour with this company, and it was a disaster from start to finish. First of all, the communication was abysmal. When I initially booked the tour, they promised a convenient pick-up location, but I received zero information about it until I had to chase them down the day before. And even then, the bus was 25 minutes late! Not exactly the best first impression. But wait, it gets worse. After opting out of the optional Blue Grotto boat trip (since I had already been before), I decided to hang out near the parking area, grab some snacks, and take a few photos. Before leaving the bus, I confirmed with the driver that we would be meeting back at 13:00. I arrived at the meeting point 10 minutes early – at 12:50, as my restaurant receipt clearly shows. So imagine my shock when I found out they had left without me! When I called the tour guide, Maria, she had the audacity to accuse me of being late. I was standing right there in the parking lot. And did they make any effort to return for me or even check if I was nearby? Nope. Instead, Maria repeatedly insisted I was lying, which is both outrageous and unprofessional. In an era where it’s so easy to get in touch, this could have been resolved in a minute had she bothered to call me. But no, they didn’t even bother to do a simple headcount before leaving. This is beyond unacceptable – I've been on 30+ tours across Europe, and this level of incompetence is unheard of. I missed the sightseeing, wasted hours trying to catch a public bus (which I had to pay for out of pocket), and completely lost my day. They owe me more than just an apology – at least would one expect a full refund for the tour, but no, they have refused it. This company clearly doesn’t care about their customers, and I will never be booking with them again. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Dear Madam, As you could see, in Malta sometimes there's a lot of traffic, that's why we were late for pick up. It's something that we can't control. At Blue Grotto, Maria gave you a meeting point and meeting time. All other 25 clients were there, but you were not. We had to leave and continue the tour. When you called the office we also checked the datatrak report. We confirmed that the bus left on time and not earlier then agreed. You called the office and the guide numerous time, offending everyone for a mistake done from your side. If someone should apologize is you.
A lovely lady by the name of Donna arranged this amazing trip. She was so very helpful explaining about the best places to go and see this lovely island of Malta. She really knows her stuff! Where to go and what to see. She even looked up the weather for that day, she arranged for us to go Sicily for the day. She went beyond her duties and escorted us to our buses. I wasn’t to good with the speed boat trip but it was so easy to get another option to get back for our day out. Blue logon is a must!!! Silent city is another one to see. And the Dome beautiful 🙏 Donna you’re not paid enough! And you’re a credit to your team and company. Keep up the good work and hope to see you soon
Very nice guide and very informative tour went at a nice pace and was a great way to see some of the attractions of Malta would recommend
