We used welcome pickups for 4 separate rides and had booked way in advance. All 4 drivers were on time, friendly and informative! We used the service to pickup at the airport to get us to our apartment, from the apartment to the cruise terminal, from the cruise terminal to a layover hotel, then finally from the hotel to the airport. Everything went as planned. We would definitely use this service again. Also liked that within the app, you can see where the driver was and also has the means to communicate directly if needed.

We could not have been happier with Glykeria K at Welcome Pickups in Athens. She is like a breath of fresh air with her engaging personality. She is so interesting without drowning us in minute information. We spent a very full day with her and she was very adaptable making sure we enjoyed the important points on and about Athens. We particularly enjoyed her stories about the origin of Christianity in Greece. Really Great Round-Trip Service (A Small Tip for First-Timers!)
We recently used Welcome Pickups for our round-trip transfers between Athens International Airport and our hotel, and overall, we had a really good experience.
Both of our drivers were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. Being offered chilled bottled water immediately upon entering the car was a very thoughtful and appreciated touch. Our drivers acted as mini-tour guides, pointing out significant landmarks and areas of interest as we drove. It was a great introduction to the city.
The only minor issue we encountered was the pickup location upon arrival. As first-time visitors to Athens, we were a bit disoriented in the airport and expected the driver to be waiting inside the terminal with a name sign. Instead, we had to navigate our way to the curb to meet him. If you are unfamiliar with the airport layout, I’d recommend clarifying the exact meeting point beforehand to avoid any confusion.
Despite the slight confusion at the start, the quality of the ride and the friendliness of the staff were top-notch. We definitely recommend Welcome Pickups for anyone visiting Athens and would certainly use their service again.

Excellent tour of best sites with wonderfully friendly guide
We had a wonderful experience with Nasos who was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was extremely accommodating and knew all the best spots for photos. We loved our tour!

Great for transfers or tours!
We used Welcome Pickups for all of our transfers and for a tour while here in Athens! I highly recommend them! Panagiotis Bouras was our driver and tour guide! He was always prompt, had a clear a visible sign for us to find him, always had bottles of water for us while transferring and touring, was knowledgeable and informative, and just overall took great care of us! If you are ever in Athens and need transportation or a tour, give him a text on WhatsApp… he can answer any questions and can arrange transportation for you.
