I read many reviews about how a day trip to Troy would be long and hectic. Even all the search methods recommended a two day trip from Istanbul! But I wanted to do it in one day. So I did a comprehensive search to find the best people for the job! I was recommended a couple of places but GUIDED ISTANBUL TOURS info@guidedistanbultours.com Was the most reasonably priced one day tour. Our guide Baha made this experience unforgettable . His knowledge was outstanding and the trip was punctuated with well thought out breaks for our group with good facilities for lunch and morning/afternoon tea. There is also a bridge now which eliminates the need to take the ferry across the Dardanelles which saves at least one hour each way travelling We left at 6am from our hotel in Istanbul and were home around 7pm - a well paced and fun day away from the bustle of Istanbul

Volkan was an excellent guide. Although it was a long day with a lot of driving, it was a great day. We had wanted to see ancient Troy for many years.

Day tour with Bahattin Aybek to Troy. Bahattin Aybek has explained everything historical about Troy, Byzantium and the Ottoman Empire in detail with a lot of expertise and also a lot about Gallipoli. You can't ask for a more competent and experienced guide. We can recommend the tour 100%. Driver Mehmet took us there very responsibly. The car was top and well air conditioned.
