Our guide was incredibly kind and personable. He offered a very interesting and essential perspective on 'The Troubles'—one that reinforces the vital idea of a free and united Ireland—and he skillfully connected Irish solidarity with Palestine and other causes of national and class liberation. I also have to mention that he takes great photos; he took some truly excellent shots of my partner and me at the Bobby Sands mural and the Peace Wall. I highly recommend the tour, and if you get the same guide we did, you’ll be in good, friendly hands.

Fabulous tour and tour-guide
Fabulous tour and our second time with Jim. Our first visit last year was with hubby and I as a couple and we had such an informative time with Jim that we booked again this year when visiting with family.
Jim goes above and beyond, is so knowledgeable and makes the tour completely engrossing and handled with the sensitivity the topic deserves (but with a great sense of humour and a sense of ‘craic’ along the way).
Cannot recommend this tour and the company highly enough.

A perfect trip perfect guide
Booked the taxi and gaol tour through get your guide. Meeting place easy to find. Our tour guide was issac! What a guy! So knowledgeable giving a full insight into the troubles of the conflict. With a non bias story. He made us comfortable from the start and highly recommend this tour and issac! Although the gaol turned out to be closed and no warning we were given a cash refund for this part of the trip. Thank you

Belfast with Jim: History that gets under your skin
Jim is a truly great guide who brought the special history of Belfast closer to us in a great tour. We laughed a lot with him, but also experienced moments of melancholy – because much of what you see there and learn about the history is quite tough.
As someone who grew up "behind a wall" myself – namely in East Germany – this history touched me in a very special way once again. Of course, the conflicts and historical backgrounds cannot be equated with each other. And yet, one knows this feeling of growing up with a border that does not just exist on a map, but shapes the everyday life, the freedom of movement, and the lives of the people.
It was all the more impressive to experience Belfast with someone who not only knows this history but conveys it with a lot of humor, humanity, and a large portion of personal perspective.
Thank you, Jim, for this special tour and the many stories that we will surely keep in our minds for a long time.

RAY - you were brilliant!
If I could give 11/10 I would.
RAY was the best guide I've ever had.
Knowledgeable and very engaging. Pickup and set down was perfect.
He gave us well over the specified time and we learnt so much. Multiple stop offs to take photos and his knowledge was massive.
Ray made our day!
This tour is 100% recommended through this company.

A must-do tour, especially for first-time visitors to Belfast!
My friends and I shared a wonderful tour of Belfast with Jim, who - having lived through The Troubles - was an excellent and informative guide. The info he shared was balanced, fair, at times funny, and always moving. Take one of these taxi tours to learn what it was like living in Belfast at that time (and still today), and to see areas of the city that you'd likely pass by without knowing what took place there not so long ago. We should always try to learn from history, and "walking the ground" where it happened makes it all so much more understandable. Thank you, Jim and Xplore Belfast Murals, for giving us that opportunity in Belfast.

Black Cab Tour; worth double the money!
The Best city tour, I have ever been on. Please ask for Sean!! He will give you a good overview of the troubles. He can also talk about the troubles from experience. Hower whilst he may criticise the authorities on both sides of the divide. He could emphasise with the 3 participants; Soldiers, Catholics and Prtestant individuals.
