Great guide (Georgio), super kind and interesting. Precise meeting point and perfect tour duration. It is really cool to visit Alberobello with a guide because otherwise you miss some super interesting points and people. Thanks for everything! I highly recommend it :-)

3 days in Puglia
Review
We had an amazing three days with Giorgio from Apulia tours. I chose Apulia because we toured with them 6 years ago in Metera and had a great experience and am so glad we did. The first day in Bari, Giorgio walked us through the city for half a day sharing with us the history, culture, and daily life. We sampled fresh shrimp and sea urchins at the fishing pier, drank beer and played cards with some locals at a men’s club, stopped by local merchants to sample local foods, visited the church of St. Nicolas, made fresh pasta, and so much more. It helped us fully appreciate Bari, its people, and culture in a way we couldn’t have done on our own. Day 2 was completely different with us driving, driving to and visiting Polignano a Mare on our own and then meeting Giorgio in Alberobello. Giorgio gave us a view you simply could not get any other way. We of course walked the streets and learned the history but marveled at Giorgio’s contacts with the people that still live there. We were able to visit the Trulia home of a local couple and visit their garden (we purchased some of their figs which were delicious!). Knowing all the local merchants also allowed us to visit local craftsman (vs made in china trinkets) and visit with a small brewer for a quick beer. The day continued with a visit to an 300-year olive oil grower/manufacturer who is operating with the 11th generation owner. We learned what makes truly good Extra Virgin olive oil and the downsides of less quality products. To top the day off, we stopped by a local winery for a tasting. The second day was just as magical as the first and Giorgio made it possible and at the same time like we were touring with a super knowledgeable friend. Day three was just a different and wonderful. We started by meeting Giorgio at a different local winery for a tour and tasting. It was not one I would have picked on my own and so glad he chose it. Giorgio pivoted and instead of another winery, we visited a town near by. Again, Giorgio’s knowledge of the town and how well he knows the locals made for a special experience. To top off the trip, we stopped in a small local mozzarella maker and made some mozzarella ourselves! After that, we sat down in his kitchen to some of their cheeses and salmis, and other local foods . Again, just a unique experience we could have never gotten on our own. It was three days that we will never forget and it made the best possible experience we could have had in Puglia. I could not recommend Giorgio and Apulia tours more.

Exceptional Guide and Unforgettable Experiences in Puglia ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our family has just finished an incredible time in Puglia, and we cannot recommend Giorgio highly enough.
During our stay, we were fortunate enough to experience four of his tours: the Alberobello Unusual Private Tour, People of Bari Unusual Guided Tour, Bari Food Tour with Pasta Making, and the Secret Matera Sassi Private Tour. Each experience was completely different and offered a genuine insight into the history, culture, traditions, and people of this beautiful region.
From the moment we met Giorgio, his passion for Puglia was evident. He doesn't simply guide you through places; he opens doors to experiences that you would never discover on your own. Through him, we experienced authentic local life and created some of our most treasured memories from Italy.
His knowledge is exceptional, but what truly sets him apart is his warmth, kindness, patience, and generosity. He went above and beyond for our family, always making us feel welcome, cared for, and completely at ease. His flexibility, guidance, and genuine desire to ensure we had the best possible experience made every day special.
The pride Giorgio has in his region and his enthusiasm for sharing it with visitors is something very special. He has a wonderful ability to connect with people, and by the end of our time together, he felt more like a friend than a guide.
We leave Puglia with full hearts, and much of that is because of Giorgio. The memories he helped create for our family will stay with us for many years to come.
If you are visiting Puglia, we wholeheartedly recommend any of his tours — although experiencing all four gave us a truly rich and authentic understanding of this remarkable region.
Thank you, Giorgio, for everything.
Kim, Andrew, Zara and Xavier ❤️🙏

Excellent Guide!
Georgio is the best! He's extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of each area we visited with him. He knows the local people, brought us into their homes, allowed us to sample their cuisines, and showed us how they live. We could not have had a better experience.

We used Giorgio for several day tours including walking Bari, driving and walking Albobello, locotondo and Utsuni.
Gorgio was prompt, personable, knowledgable and flexible. We’d definitely use him again and recommend him highly.

Excellent Alberobello Experience
Georgio was an excellent guide. He gave us great information of the history of the area. We enjoyed seeing the less traveled area of Alberobello but also experiencing the more heavily visited area. We did a late afternoon tour and would recommend that time. He shares trulli construction information and how the people have lived in this area over the centuries. He also has a vast knowledge of the entire region of Puglia so I would not hesitate to take any of his tours.

If you are looking for an authentic tour of Puglia (plus fun experiences), this is it.
We toured with Giorgio and explored some of the best cities in Puglia. We had been to Puglia the prior year and enjoyed it so much, we wanted to return. Giorgio was recommended as a guide with great experience in the area. They were correct! We toured the cities of Alberobello, Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Ostuni, and Fasano. Never had sea urchins but we tried them at the coastal local restaurant for lunch. Not our favorite but the rest of the seafood was excellent. The most memorable experiences were stopping at an olive grove with 1000 year old trees and a little shop in Alberobello for olive oil, wine and limoncello tasting.
Giorgio is personable, knowledgeable and provides an authentic type of experience that you don't normally get on tours. He is excellent at assessing his group and adapting his tours, even on the fly, to provide a great experience. Highly recommended and we plan on being back again.

Experience the best of Alberobello
This was our second tour with Giorgio and it was as wonderful as the first tour in Bari. We felt as if he was a best friend showing us all the great things about his area. The relaxed and knowledgeable manner he presented all the special sites made the tour top notch. Strongly recommend any tour you can get with Giorgio. It will be a highlight.

Amazing
This was an amazing tour away from the touristy attractions but yet you saw everything you needed to. Our guide was amazing and knowledgeable and gave such great insight to the town of Alberobello., it’s history and culture. We meet and chatted with many locals who made me feel welcomed and right at home.

Favorite tour whilst in Puglia
We took 1-2 tours per day on our trip through Puglia and while all of the guides were really good, this was our favorite tour. Georgio definitely had a lot of knowledge but also knew how to go with the flow and make everything effortless and authentic. His pacing was really good and you just know he could adapt to whatever group or audience he had. He called himself a local cousin and it was definitely that vibe - we felt as though we really got a taste of the culture and could trust the information shared. Just a really pleasant and tasty afternoon.
