Fjona did an absolute amazing job in sharing her knowledge and she was very friendly with great energy throughout. To reach the shala river you need to take an hour boat ride which along the way it offers great views. At the shala river looks amazing as well. Shala river is a must do when staying in albania!
Going in the fall, the boat trip was cold, so be prepared! But the views were gorgeous and the guide does a great job!

The Shala river was amazing, flowing between the Albanian Alps mountains, changing colour up the river, from emerald green, to turquoise, to crystal clear aqua. Tour agency POSITIVES: a generally well organized and comfortable trip, with some knowledge of Albanian history and specific tour area. NEGATIVES: They didn't pick up and drop off at hotel, which was part of their official offerings. The tour atmosphere was spoilt somewhat by allowing a few in the group to have loud dance music, which they danced to in the tour boat: not in line with a nature tour!
Such a wonderful day! Fjona was super nice and patient with us, even though our English isn't great. The landscapes were truly magnificent and we had a great time. A big thank you also to our driver!

We attended shala river from shkoder and our tour guide was disa. There were some admin errors the night witg pickup before but on contacting disa it was all sorted very efficiently. The bus from Shkodër is not labelled as the tour so caused some confusion so might recommend maybe a label. We went from Shkodër to another bus where there was a 20 min wait which could have been shorter but had toilets and coffee and shop. The tour guide disa was brilliant, very helflpful informative and positive. Couldn't rate her enough The river was beautiful and stunning including boat and drive. I would recommend The hike was short (keep going right) and pretty _ took about 15 min up. Defo go
