We were greeted by Iwan Palguna at 3am from our hotel who took us to the transfer spot of our jeep driver Warsana. Warsana looked after us well, he ensured we received our breakfast and got us coffee. Be prepared for a bumpy ride to the summit, and it is cold. Please ensure you take a blanket or layer up on clothes. Warsana also made sure he got a good parking spot near the cafe but a clear view of the vista (this place gets busy). He explained as much as he could about the area and he also said he does guide the trekking when his jeep is not booked. When the sun rose, he took beautiful photos of us. Nothing was too much or too little. Next was the black lava. It is what it says on the tin. Warsana gave a little background of the area before moving off to meet Iwan. We had to prompt the itinerary to the team as their main office did not brief them. We would have missed out on what we had paid for. Iwan was quick to resolve and took us to the next spot to the Natural Springs where we had an hour to enjoy. Again a very busy spot. Once done, Iwan took us to a coffee plantation then back to the hotel.
