We had an amazing time on this birding trip! Mario was an outstanding guide with deep knowledge of birds in the area. You can always tell when you're with someone who really knows his stuff, and Mario definitely does. His pick-up and drop off at the hotel were so appreciated. He made sure we saw the birds we sought out and he got us a number of others. We saw nearly 40 species! Thanks for a great day!

Mario was WONDERFUL. He was willing to customize our trip to our wants/needs. We asked for a long hike and he gave us that. He had binoculars, water, and a phone charger. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Solo travelers should feel safe with him.

We do a lot of tours, and this was hands down one of the best we've ever done. Extremely knowledgeable guide (who also knows about photography, light, etc). Small, private tour (literally two of us + our guide), so we can look for the things we most want to see (in our case, we wanted to see toucans, and we were looking to do wildlife photography). It's a mix of driving and walking, so if you'd prefer a tour that isn't a 10-mile death march in the rain, this is perfect. (My lemon of a knee was very pleased by this) He can mimic or play tons of bird calls and attract all kinds of birds, and he knows where (and what time of day) to find pretty much any wildlife. Can't say enough good things. 10/10, absolutely recommend.

Mario was a great guide. He was on time, and knew just the spots to take us to see toucans, monkeys, woodpeckers, a sloth, caymans and so many other birds (probably 40 or so). He had a lot of information to provide when I had questions, and was flexible to focus on finding what we were interested. I wouldn’t have seen 1/5 of what we saw without him! Would definitely recommend this for birders and naturalists. He helped us get great photos !

Mario’s is an experience guide, resourceful and knowledgeable. Go beyond his duty. Passionate about his works.

The visit to Panama is not complete without a visit to this lively natural park and our guide Mario was amazing, did everything to show us as many birds as possible. We highly recommend! We love the experience. Helena and Pedro.

We had a wonderful time birdwatching with Mario. He had a lot of knowledge and was enthusiastic to show us as many birds as possible. He knew the location of several birds that we would never have found on our own. One of the highlights was visiting a snack place where he had set up feeders for hummingbirds and other fruits for different birds. He even gave us snacks there while we rested and observed the multiple birds. The experience is highly recommended.

Great knowledge of the area and birds. Comfortable transportation ( 7 passenger SUV for group of 4). Wish the tour could be longer.
