Beautiful gardens. The woman at the checkout in the shop by the entrance was not very friendly. Also, the parking attendant at the gate of the exit could utter the only command "code," while I still had my friend lottery wristband on and showed it to him. Here are a few more words: code or pay otherwise.
Extremely nice to go. Beautiful tours that lead through the palace with a beautiful sequence that take you through time. Learned an awful lot this day. Also a nice palace garden where there is plenty to see.
We visited Het Loo Palace with a family with 2 children on a sunny summer day. We all found it a very nice and interesting experience. We took our time for it and were still on the road for about 5 hours. The palace routes are very clearly marked and provided with the necessary explanations (in brochure form or with audioguide for an additional fee). An elevator takes you to the roof, with a fantastic view over the beautiful symmetrical garden. In the summer there was also a junior palace set up, where the kids could use a kind of smartphone to perform some very nice assignments to organize a royal party. The garden is fantastically decorated with a lot of beautiful statues and is well maintained. The orange walk behind the garden is also very rewarding. Small minus (rather a detail): the turnstile to get out of the garden (to the walk) and back again did not work as it should. I do want to give big kudos to the staff, because whoever spoke to you, everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The gardens are easily seen from the roof. Planting absolutely not beautiful or appropriate to the garden. Can't find mosaic wall. Logistics is already rattling it. You can't roam free: you have to follow the arrows. Had a nice lunch though. To walk the Oranjepad you need a QR code. We didn't have one because we have a museum annual pass. Almost impossible to go out through the exit if people want to go in; there is only 1 door.

Could have spent hours there exploring the grounds having something to drink and eat. Beautiful beyond and verrry tranquil. We toured inside the palace as well, which was very interesting. Highly recommend getting outside of amterdam and so much gh more to see in the countryside.
