チェンナイから12時間の日帰りツアー。午前7時に始まり、ポンディシェリーまでドライブ。所要時間は約3時間。 穏やかなスリ・オーロビンド・アシュラムで探検を始め、その後、魅力的なフランス語・クオーターや崇拝されるマナクラ・ヴィナヤガル寺院を訪れます。 そして、風光明媚なプロムナード・ビーチを気持ちよく散歩しながら、くつろぎましょう。 オーロヴィルへ進み、ユニークな建築と象徴的なマトリマンディルを眺めましょう。 満足のいく昼食後、マハーバリプラムへ向かい、海岸寺院、パンチャ・ラサー、アルジュナの悔恨、クリシュナのバターボールなどを見学します。 チェンナイまで車で戻り、午後7時までに到着して豊かな一日を締めくくりましょう。

20世紀の偉大なシーザー、詩人、予言者シュリ・オーロビンドは、1910年から1950年に亡くなるまでポンディシェリーを故郷としました。 彼のビジョンと理想は、世界中の人々を魅了し続けています。
プドゥチェリーにあるマナクラ・ヴィナヤガル寺院は、ヒンドゥー教の領主ガネーシャを祀った壮大で美しい寺院です。 プドゥチェリーは教会だらけの場所かもしれませんが、マナクラ・ヴィナヤガル寺院はヒンドゥーの信者や観光客の間で非常に切望されており、国内各地から訪れています。 ITの歴史は古く、500年以上の歴史を持ち、この地域で最も古い寺院のひとつです。
手漉きの紙を作るユニークな工場を見学します。 シュリ・オーロビンド製紙工場は50年前に創業し、綿布パルプ100％の紙を製造しています。 この訪問では、綿ぼろきれから紙が製造され、シルクスクリーン印刷や霜降りなどの技術で加工される過程を体験します。
オーロビルに旅行します。オーロビルは、世界中の何千人もの人々が国籍を捨てて地球市民として暮らしている地球村という急進的な概念です。 オーロヴィルは「世界のどこかに、いかなる国家も自国として主張することのできNO、誠実な志を持つすべての善意の人類が、世界の市民として自由に生活し、単一のベテランである至高の真理に従うことのできる場所、平和と調和と調和の場があるべきである」というビジョンをもって構想された。 また、ゲストは市民が持続可能な生活様式を実践しているさまざまな方法を見ることができます。 マトリ・マンディルは、静かな瞑想のための巨大なドームである。
Pancha rathasまたは5台の戦車、パッラヴァによって造られた一連の一枚岩の寺院。これらは7世紀に建てられた岩切一枚岩の寺院の構造である。 5台のラタまたはチャリオットはそれぞれ、マハーバーラト叙事詩の主役であるドラウパディー、アルジュナ、ナクル・サハデーヴァ、ビーマ、ユディスターに捧げられている。 ナクル・サハデーヴァのラタの隣には象の彫刻もある。 ゾウの後方に向かって立つと、戦車の後方とゾウの間に不気味な類似性があることに気づく。
次に、インドで最も壮大な古代芸術作品の1つと考えられている、マハーバーラタの鮮やかな景色を描いた、アルジュナの平和記念碑を訪れます。浮き彫りは長さ100フィート、高さ45フィートです！主な話は、パンダヴァ兄弟のひとりであるアルジュナがシヴァ神の武器を手に入れるためにどのようにして厳格な緊縮財政を行ったかということです。
次の停留所は、クリシュナのバターボール、石造りの斜面に立つ花崗岩の岩です。この好奇心旺盛な岩はニュートンの重力法則に反しているようで、1000年以上も斜面でこの不安定な位置にいたにもかかわらず1インチも移動していません。
私たちの最後の寄港地はショア寺院です。壮大な寺院はベンガル湾を見下ろし、Mahabalipuramが彼らの王国の主な港だったときにPallavasの統治の間の重要な中心地でした。 8世紀初頭に王ラジャ・シンハによって建てられたショア寺院は、インドの建築景観におけるランドマークです。マルコポーロはこれを7つの塔と呼びました。現存の寺院は、かつては船員のための標識として使われていた7つの寺院の最後の生き残りです。

As a single female, this felt like a really safe way to explore Marabalipuram. Rajesh was my guide and he had a driver who had a very clean car. The drive from Chennai was about 90 minutes - the bike was “rustic” but rideable - biking through Indian streets was exhilarating and Rajesh kept me close and I felt happy and calm riding with him. We had a fresh coconut drink mid ride. The temples are exquisite- and lunch was a delicious panneer masala in an air conditioned restaurant. Rajesh was a good conversationalist and I had a very enjoy time. I’d recommend this for the energetic and adventurous traveler!!
