Great combo tour!
We headed further down the coast to Pondicherry. The transition from ancient temples to the serene, pastel-colored French colonial architecture of the White Town (Ville Blanche) felt like stepping into a different world. We strolled down Promenade Beach, visited the peaceful Sri Aurobindo Ashram, and stopped by a charming French café for some authentic pastries and coffee.Later we visited Mahabalipuram.

Great tour with both guides
My partner and I booked this full-day private tour combining Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) and Pondicherry, and it completely blew us away. If you are staying in Chennai and want a day away from the city hustle, this itinerary packs an incredible punch.

Mahabalipuram
Rajesh was kind, organized, and accommodating. He arranged and paid for all of our experiences including a knowledgeable guide at Mahabalipuram. The driver was excellent and courteous. We had a fantastic filter coffee half way to Pondicherry. We didn’t love to hard sell at the creator studio after the tour at Mahabalipuram, but we also understand that this is common practice.

Valuable tour
It makes for a long day, but packing in ancient history and peaceful French-colonial vibes in one go is totally worth it. Highly recommend booking a reliable cab for the day!

Touring made easy
I would definitely recommend this tour. As first time visitors, the guide made navigating new areas very easy: pick up directly from our hotel, dropping off at sites, organizing lunch, etc. Our guide Rajesh was very knowledgeable and accommodating!
