We had an incredible time with Surf Yoga Maui and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to learn how to surf while having a fun, personalized experience! A huge shoutout to Eddie, my instructor, and Summer, who guided us through the booking process with ease! I came into the lesson with some concerns about surfing, and Eddie immediately made me feel comfortable while still challenging me—which was exactly what I wanted to get out of the experience. He brought a lighthearted, encouraging energy to the lesson, patient and approachable, and stayed right nearby the entire time to make sure I felt safe and supported. He also went above and beyond by offering to help my boyfriend, who had rented gear from Surf Yoga Maui as well for a very fair price. Eddie gave us some great local tips and recommendations for places to explore on the island, which was such a nice bonus! They also had a photographer there, which was a really nice surprise. The photos were such a great way to capture the experience, and appreciated there was no pressure when it came to purchasing them. Big shout out to Sean for capturing our day! A big thank you to Summer as well for making the booking process so easy. She was incredibly attentive and responsive, and even suggested moving my lesson to a different day because the surf conditions were expected to be better. I’m so glad we listened to her recommendation because the conditions ended up being amazing! The team also had surf booties, yoga pants for ladies and rash guards, to make for a warm and enjoyable surfing experience. Lots of nice little touches like this really go a long way Shout out to the **Surf Yoga Maui team** for such a memorable experience. Can't say enough good things about the Surf Yoga Maui team. Eddie, Summer and Sasha were great. Summer made scheduling the lessons a breeze, so friendly and always kept me up to date on the times. Eddie and Sasha were very positive and upbeat. They were very thorough evaluating my skill level and determing my starting point before we got in the water. They made every minute in the water fun but productive at the same time. I was so pleased with my progression and am so happy I chose Surf Yoga Maui. I will definitely work with them again on our next trip to Maui. Mahalo to you guys. 🤙

These surf lessons were our absolute favorite part of our Hawaii vacation! Eddie and Coco were very knowledgeable, made sure we had a good time, and looked out for our safety at all times. They had a professional photographer capturing our experience (well worth the extra cost). We had a blast surfing with them, and they also had great local recommendations for lunch afterwards. 10/10!

Our experience with Surf Yoga Maui was great! The text with info about where to meet was clear. The location was only about 10 minutes from our hotel in Wailea, which was nice. My 13yo had a private lesson with Eddie, one of the owners. They provided a rash guard and leggings. He made her feel very comfortable and I felt she was safe with him. They had a short safety lesson on land and then out to the water! Because it was a private lesson, he sometimes towed her back out to make another run; she said paddling back out was the hardest part. She got right up the first time and had a blast! There were a lot of other beginners at this location but that is Hawaii in the summer. Would highly recommend this husband and wife team.

Eddie was absolutely amazing! He was so informative that everyone of us got up on our fist wave ever and my husband and I were able to catch a wave at the exact same time!

I had my first-ever surf lesson with Eddie while I was visiting Kihei and it was an amazing experience! I had no idea that a fun morning of surfing was so accessible (for a Canadian prairie-girl mom!) - With his help I was able to get up on the first wave and it was a blast for the entire 2 hour lesson. I appreciated his patient instruction and emphasis on how to be safe in the water. The surf lessons are held in relatively shallow water and the waves are the perfect size for learning. I would recommend booking a lesson with Eddie if you are considering learning to surf while you are in Maui! I hope to be able to visit Maui again someday and I will definitely make time for another surf lesson or two! My three sons were able to watch from the beach and they were not ready to try surfing this trip but I definitely would be at ease with them taking a lesson with me next time! I was able to book a lesson online via email to Summer and she was very accommodating and professional. Thank you for the great experience - it was the highlight of my time in Maui! :)

Great lesson and made my first surfing experience successful and very enjoyable! Eduardo was very helpful and articulate in explaining the proper techniques related to getting set on the board, prepping and entering the wave, and maintaining good control and form during the wave. Very well-rounded lesson that covered all aspects of surfing: board overview, stance/technique and transport, safe entry and exit from the water, wave riding, rider and safety awareness while in and out of the water. Excellent beach location with perfect waves for learning. Very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend to anyone interested in surfing in Maui! Thank you, Surf Yoga Maui!

My husband and I spent several days with Surf Yoga Maui improving our surfing skills. Each session was fun and we learned so much. Our instructor was friendly and made learning easy. We not only caught a lot of waves, but learned what to focus on our own. Great choice if you want to learn and have fun.
