Despite the bad reviews all over the internet, because FOX rent a car was offering the best deal, I decided to give them a try. They mainly offer a cheaper price as they are off site compared to all other car rental companies that are accessible via airtrain at the airport, but they offer a free shuttle from the car rental terminal which we had to wait for about 10min which is not bad. At the rental place, I was given the car I selected when I made my reservation through Expedia. The payment was done upon Expedia reservation, and was inclusive of all taxes. They have offered the prepaid fuel option explaining they have a better $/galon compared to other places around the airport which sounded a good idea. All went well during my trip and I’ve returned the car empty and the pre paid option was showing a $133USD in total, except that they added an extra $82,82 USD in taxes, about 27% surcharge that they forgot to mention when they offered the prepaid option deal. This is a scam, never take this option from them. With that extra charge, it would’ve cost me the same to rent directly from the airport with Avis, Budget, …. Please don’t make the same error, do not rent at FOX rent a car.

We had a great time as a family thanks to the tour organized especially for us by Ed. Ed knows the city perfectly in every detail and we would never have discovered certain places on our own. He is very pleasant, professional and listens to our desires.

We were lucky to have Sandrine as our tour guide. She was very friendly , fun and knowledgeable . Sandrine arrived on time at our hotel and drove us around the city . Also not having to deal with or wait for people in a larger group also made the experience personal .Sandrine answered all our questions and gave us suggestions on what to do after . We definitely recommend this tour and Sandrine to friends who are planning a trip to SF.
