トレドのユダヤ人に関する最も古い文書はローマ時代の 4 世紀のものですが、それ以前に都市に定着していた可能性もあります。 このツアーでは、古いユダヤ人地区の狭い通りを歩き、このユダヤ人地区をヨーロッパで最も重要なものにした主要なモニュメントと地下の考古学的遺跡を訪れます。
エルトランシトシナゴーグ（サミュエルレヴィのシナゴーグとも呼ばれます）は、1355年にピーター1世の会計が建設を命じた後に建てられました。その時点で新しいシナゴーグの建設は許可されていませんでしたが、弟のエンリケ・デ・トラスタマラとの戦争で彼を支援したユダヤ人コミュニティ。シナゴーグ内では、豊かな漆喰で飾られた信じられないほどの礼拝室と国立セファルディ文化博物館を鑑賞できます。
サンタマリアラブランカのシナゴーグは、14世紀末までトレドにあった11のシナゴーグの1つでした。これはヨーロッパで最も古いものの1つで、12世紀の終わりまたは13世紀の初めにムデハル様式で建てられました。オリエンタルスタイルは、室内装飾に見られる美しい装飾とは正反対の外観の装飾のよさでも評価できます。

Sonia was absolutely spectacular! So much information and so interesting. And 1 of only 6 guides with a key to an underground Jewish dwelling from 100’s of years ago.
The tour was very meaningful and a tremendous educational experience. Javi, our tour guide, was amazing. He is local to Toledo. His knowledge of the subject matter and history was outstanding. He was able to make the tour very enjoyable and informative for all of us, including my teenage children. This was a private tour, so it was just the five of us with Javi. We did this tour as part of a half-day trip from Madrid, but you can easily spend many more hours to learn more about the rest of the old city. This tour was easily the highlight of our entire trip to Spain. Toledo has an amazing history, and our guide was outstanding! This was an overall moving experience.

Our guide, Irene, was amazing! Met us at the train station with a taxi ready to go. She tailored the tour to our knowledge level, adding loads of context, history, and hidden gems along the way. She has lived her whole life in Toledo and there would've been no point in visiting there without her tour. Don't think twice about booking!

The tour to Toledo with pick up at the hotel was excellent. Our pontial, helpful and kind driver also provided information about Madrid. The vehicle clean and with water supply. Our guide adapted the tour to our age, showed knowledge of Jewish history and we liked the synagogues visited, as well as the Toledo codade.
Javier was AMAZING! His family has been in Toledo for generations. He was so kind and knew everything there was to know about Toledo and its history. He shared so much information about the Jewish history of the area and we had a wonderful time with him!!
