We had such a blast! Our 5yo and 7 yo enjoyed it so much. Yuki was the best guide, very informative but also very patient with our littles. Would definitely recommend!!

Yuki was a phenomenal guide! He was full of knowledge about the local area, Japan history, and random fun facts. He was so welcoming and generous from our arrival to the tour end, treating our entire party with so much respect and kindness. The bike ride itself was a nice change from walking, but what the care and consideration in planning is what made it outstanding. Without spoiling any surprises, the tour provides a drink and a snack, along with amazing food recommendations and photos from the day. This experience was the highlight of our trip - I couldn’t recommend it more!

We had an absolutely incredible time on this bike tour with our family of four (including our kids, ages 8 and 11)! It was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Kyoto.Our guide was wonderful and took us along beautiful, less-traveled back roads that we never would have discovered on our own. It was a fantastic way to see several major sites while experiencing the peaceful, authentic side of the city away from the heavy crowds.The kids loved the pace, and the delicious treats along the way kept everyone energized and happy. To top it all off, our guide took some fantastic family photos of us and shared them right away, which we appreciated so much.If you are visiting Kyoto with family, do not hesitate to book this tour. It is safe, fun, and unforgettable!

Incredible experience and a highlight of our family’s time in Kyoto! Peter created an absolutely memorable day for the whole family. Our kids are 7 and 9, Peter was so patient when they needed to take breaks and used that time to point out or share interesting historical and cultural spots. We felt like we really got to see Kyoto and hit all the top spots in one tour. We truly appreciate the memories he helped us create. Can’t recommend enough!

If I could give Kyoto Bike Tour 10 stars I would! Our guide Ray was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful during our bike tour and made it extra enjoyable for everyone. We got to visit the Bamboo forest where Ray knew the best spots for photos and took amazing photos of our family. We got to ride around the beautiful rice fields and then visit the Monkey Park where we got to feed the monkeys and get an incredible view of the city. Finally we got to see the Kimono forest and get some sweet treats! Ray really took care of us and made sure we were safe the whole time, and it was very helpful that he speaks fluent English and Japanese. This was the highlight of our two week visit to Japan! Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful experience on the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest Family Bike Tour on 29 May 2026. The weather was beautiful, making it a perfect day for cycling and exploring the area. Our guide, Yuki, was fantastic throughout the tour. He was friendly, engaging, and especially great with our two boys (ages 9 and 7), keeping them interested and involved the whole time. He also helped us take some lovely family photos and was very attentive to our needs, making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. Overall, this was a well-organized and enjoyable family activity that allowed us to see Arashiyama from a unique perspective. We would highly recommend this tour to families visiting Arashiyama.

Our family had a great experience on this tour. Ray was so kind, shared a lot of great information of the area, took great photos to document the day, and (most importantly) made sure we were safe. I would highly recommend to any families. The train stopped and Ray went above and beyond and carried our bikes across the station. There were surprises and treats for the kids that they enjoyed. This tour was a true highlight of our trip!

We had such a wonderful bike ride in Kyoto! Our kids (ages 2 and 6) had an amazing time, and Peter went above and beyond to keep them entertained throughout the tour. The bikes themselves were excellent and perfectly prepared for us. Everything was adjusted in advance to match our heights, which made the ride very comfortable from the start. Communication beforehand was smooth and clear, which we really appreciated. Our daughter’s bike was attached as a tag-along to one of the parents’ bikes, and she absolutely loved it. It made the experience extra fun and special for her. All in all, a fantastic family-friendly activity that we’d highly recommend!

Yuki was the very best tour guide. We had our 12 and 10 year old kids with us and this was the highlight of our time in Kyoto. Yuki personalized the tour, offered a wonderful history of the city while expertly navigating the streets of Kyoto and making sure everyone in the group felt included. The kids enjoyed collecting stamps along the way and we enjoyed this fun and unique way of getting to know Kyoto. Yuki made the whole experience free by taking care of all of the purchases along the way and introducing us to the best donuts we’ve ever had.
