A Novel Ride
Overall a great experience. I hadn’t ridden a bike in years, so I enjoyed the novelty of a cycling tour, it allowed us to see a lot more than would be normally possible.

Way better than Arashiyama!!
The tour was quite informative and well-paced.
I loved the lunch place, and finally, a gorgeous bamboo forest with no tourists.
We got the chance to meet an old Japanese flutist in the bamboo park, who played Country Road with a traditional Buddhist flute. A magical moment.
If you want to get away from the crowd and explore a bamboo forest that is worth your time, that is the one!

Extremely disappointing value for money.
We booked this private bike tour of the bamboo forest in Kyoto for over €400, with high expectations given the price and the title 'breathtaking.' Unfortunately, the experience was not worth it.
The guides, Rémi and Raphaël, were friendly and provided explanations throughout the tour, but the places visited were not really worth the trip for this type of service: a brief stop in the bamboo forest, a free bamboo museum, a local temple, and then another free museum with some free time.
The lunch at a local restaurant was, however, a positive point.
We expected a more immersive, exclusive, or memorable experience. In the end, it felt more like a pleasant but rather ordinary bike ride.
Another disappointment: the tour ended around 1:30 PM instead of the announced 3:30 PM.
It was not a bad morning, but clearly not a 'breathtaking' experience justifying over €400.

Nous sommes navré que ce Tour n'est pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes.
Nous voulions tout de même confirmer certains points qui ne sont pas éclairés dans votre revue.
Une visite privée
En effet, la visite privée peut se ressentir plus cher, si vous êtes un petit nombre. Malheureusement, comme vous n'étiez que deux invités, vous avez ressenti cette tarification de manière plus importante. Nous vous aurions accueilli avec plaisir pour une version de groupe, ce qui aurait fortement diminué votre tarif. En revanche vous auriez perdu la privatisation du tour et la possibilité d'avoir un tour entièrement en français. En effet, lors des tours partagés, nous essayons au maximum de nous adapter aux demandes linguistiques, mais avec plusieurs nationalités dans le même groupe, l'anglais devient généralement la langue commune pour le Tour.
Vous n’aimez pas les musées
Nous avons été informé par vos guides, Rémi et Raphael, que vous n'aimiez pas les musées. Malheureusement, vous aviez mentionné ce point une fois le Tour terminé. Vous avez vous-même réservé ce tour et avez donc accepté l'itinéraire lorsque vous avez effectué la réservation. Comme vous aviez un tour privé, vos guides auraient été en mesure de s'adapter et de modifier l'itinéraire dans la mesure du possible, afin de correspondre à vos attentes. Malheureusement, comme vous n'aviez rien dit, le Tour a suivi son cours comme prévu.
À l'avenir, et pour toute réservation avec nous ou tout autre prestataire, nous vous recommandons de vérifier la description du tour avant d'effectuer la réservation et de demander, en cas de réservation privée, une personnalisation de l’itinéraire, dans la mesure du possible bien entendu.
Le tour était plus cout que prévu
En effet, ceci est un point que Rémi a abordé avec vous au téléphone, si nous ne faisons pas erreur.
C'est Tour avait été à l'origine créé avec un itinéraire de 6 heures durant le mois de mars 2026. En revanche, nous nous sommes rapidement rendu compte que le tour ne prenait en fait que 5 heures avec des invités réguliers. Nous avons donc réduit le temps officiel du tour à 5h durant le mois d’avril. Vous aviez réservé le Tour au début du mois d'avril et nous n'avions malheureusement pas réalisé que vous aviez réservé avant ce changement de durée.
Comme nous sommes professionnels et que nous prenons la satisfaction de nos invités très au sérieux, il vous a été offert une réduction supplémentaire de 20 % pour la gêne occasionnée (en plus des 10 % que vous aviez déjà reçu lors de votre réservation) et vous avez accepté cette compensation avec plaisir.
Nous vous serions reconnaissant de modifier votre commentaire en conséquence.
Nous sommes ravis que le déjeuner local ainsi que la prestation des guides aient été à la hauteur de vos attentes, et une fois deux plus, nous sommes navrés que l'intégralité du tour n'est pas rencontré la satisfaction attendue.
Nous avons entre-temps reçu d'autres revues et sommes ravis de leur retour. Pour éviter toute déception future, nous vous recommandons de vérifier et valider l'itinéraire d'un tour avant de le réserver, afin d'être certain que le tour corresponde parfaitement à vos attentes.

Relaxing informal authentic Japan with excellent bamboo experience
If you want some authentic Japan life away from the crowds this is for you- very easy ride and away from the crowds . Very knowledgeable guide who was most helpful, reliable and honest if he didn’t know the answer to somethings. Not t as much cycling as we thought which was a shame for us personally- we would have liked a longer cycle. .
