This was a beautifully organized, informative and delicious introduction to Lima. Five stars all around—I highly recommend it! Our guide, Lydia, was terrific—knowledgeable, engaging and attentive to everyone’s needs. You can tell that she truly loves Lima, and her enthusiasm for the city made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Our driver, Elloy, was courteous and helpful, and the vehicle was immaculate, clean and seemingly brand-new. The selection of stops was excellent, and the food was terrific. We enjoyed breakfast, peruvian coffee, tapas, drinks and then a delicious lunch overlooking Huaca Pucllana, a beautiful archaeological site. I could not have asked for more, or better choices. One of the highlights for me was visiting the Jade Rivera gallery in Barranco, during our walk. It was a memorable addition to an already excellent tour. Our group included two vegetarians and one person who does not drink alcohol. We were a mix of couples and solo travelers of all ages. Everyone was accommodated thoughtfully and graciously. We all agreed the food was top notch and the tour was really well done. The company communicated very well before and after the tour and even followed up by sending us a link to the recipes.

We had a great experience sampling Lima's different food offerings, from cafe' fare, to an upscale restaurant and the various versions of Pisco Sour (one made with purple corn) at a trendy bar. We also visited a few modern art galleries as a party of the tour. Our tour guide, Amy Makiya (who was fluent in English), was great at weaving in the cultural and historical background of Peru/Lima during the food and gallery tours. The tour could not have been any better!

What a wonderful day we had on this gourmet food tour. Our guide Kimberly was very informative, sharing historical information along with information on the different foods we were trying. I would highly recommend this tour, if you have the time, while in Lima.

This was a wonderful way to begin our Peru trip. Kimberly was a wonderful guide, fun and knowledgeable! The places we ate were in interesting areas and beautiful venues. Everyone along the way was friendly and helpful. The best part, of course, was the absolutely outstanding food.

The guide was great, very kind and charming, and the tour was very complete, where you enjoy a very comprehensive gastronomic and cultural experience.

Good food with an excellent tour guide, Sue, who explained the history and culture of Lima as well as the Japanese & Chinese influence on Peruvian food today.

We had a great day with Amy! She gave us a great overview of Miraflores and Barranco, helped us e perform e the Lima food scene and was great to speak with in general. Amy also left us with some other recommendations for restaurants which was great too.

Our guide Carlos was punctual and polite. He was as interested in us and our backgrounds as we were in his. It was clear he was deeply interested in food and eating and it was pleasure to have time spent with someone who was so personable and proud of his country. We got the full “Cook’s tour” in so many ways. We were not rushed but still so much was seen and eaten! A wonderful way to spend the morning.

The first day of our trip to Peru, we took part in Lima Gourmet's food trip and really loved it! Our tour guide Arthur was friendly and very familiar with Peruvian cuisine and culture, and the whole tour was lively and interesting. I liked every restaurant along the way and also tried many different Peruvian dishes. One of the most interesting parts is to visit the local market. Arthur took us to talk to different archives and introduced a variety of Peruvian fruits, sausages and ingredients, so we could not only eat delicious food, but also really learn a lot of local food culture. Another pretty good highlight is lunch at Restaurant Huaca Pucllana. The food is delicious, and you can see the archaeological sites of Huaca Pucllana directly without buying a line. While eating, while admiring this historic site, very good experience. The whole tour combines food, culture, history and a lot of interesting stories that are very worth participating.
