Juan was very knowledgeable and flexible. We adjusted our tour because of the rain and we had a wonderful day in spite of the weather.

We booked a tour of the Biscay coast through Iker and GoWithGuide. We booked late and Iker was very accommodating. Daniel was our guide for the day. We had a wonderful day - heading out along the coast from Bilbao to places off the tourist trail - including Bermeo, Laga, Mandaka and Lekeitio. We spent a half day touring the coast and visiting small Fishing villages with Iker soaking up the beauty of the Basque countryside. His pleasant style and experience made for a delightful four plus hours. Starting in San Sebastián he met us promptly at our hotel and whisked us off in his large, comfortable van to a beautiful lookout spot above the bay to take in the beautiful views. We then meandered along a quiet hilltop lane admiring the scenery, animals and overlooks. We visited several small town and enjoyed short strolls to see the old town. This was one of the highlights of our time in Spanish Basque County and I have no reservations recommending Iker to anyone looking to dive deeper into the history and culture of the area.

When planning my itinerary for a multi-day jaunt up to San Sebastian, I researched several companies, based on their ability to create a customized and personalized experience on a cost-efective basis. Needless to say, Iker truly delivered. After providing Iker with a quick summary of my overall objectives of the trip, he quickly turned around several experiences to choose from, with recommendations. Once these were finalized, he developed a general schedule (to help me plan other activities outside of this private tour). Over the next several days, I had the opportunity to take a tour of Rioja (with a colleague of mine also attending on short notice - no problem!), heading out to the Txakoli wine region, walking around SB enjoying various pinxtos (and visiting a private cooking club), and hitting up one of the prominent cider houses outside of town. Altogether, a truly wonderful experience! The ultimate highlight was visiting a micro-vineyard, followed by lunch (and wine!) with the vitner and family in their home. Iker himself was personable, punctual, friendly and flexible. I noticed that he paid close attention to what I enjoyed, and would modify the remainder of the day accordingly. Overall, it felt much less like a tour and more like hanging out with an old friend. Would highly recommend.

We would thoroughly recommend Iker and his pintxo tour of Donostia/San Sebastian, it was the highlight of our holiday. He was very knowledgeable and willing to share his passion for the town, even took to his very personal Gastronomic Society club, which we felt very privileged to be apart of. Iker took us to some fabulous Pintxo bars which we we certainly wouldn’t have tried if he wasn’t with us, and the pintxo and local drinks he recommended were just superb. Thank you Iker, we had a fantastic evening and will certainly be recommending you to all our family and friends.

Our favorite part was the whole experience with Ike. To limit to one or two instances would be unfair to someone who takes a lot of learning and stamina to be for hours narrating about history, nature, life and today.

We had a great time touring Pamplona with Iker. We walked the entire length of the route of running of the bulls and his knowledge of the tradition was incredible. We also toured the church to see the chapel of San Fermin and the fortress and city walls. The highlight of the trip was lunch in the cafe Iruña. Iker recommended the best local food and gave us so much history of Navarra. We also got the insider access to the side bar at Cafe Iruña to get pics with the statue of Hemingway leaning on the bar. A super memorable day for a bunch of Hemingway / Sun Also Rises fans.

We spent 3 days with Iker, first day in Bilbao, second day touring Rioja then the third day touring the Basque coast. He is incredibly knowledgable, constantly entertaining, very thoughtful, very well connected in the area and a very good driver. A fantastic 3 days. Unhesitatingly recommend Iker.

Iker was our guide for several days in and around Donostia-San Sebastian. He proved to be very affable and quite knowledgeable about the history of the area. We made a number of last minute requests and changes before and during the trip and he helped us get everything sorted out each time; from transport to sights to see at each town we visited. We also had the opportunity to visit a local cooking club in San Sebastian that Iker is a member of, which was a real treat for the foodies in our group. I also found some unexpected shared ground musically during some of our longer transits to local towns and got some good recommendations for new bands. A pleasant little surprise to top the day off. Overall I was very impressed with his professionalism and his good humor dealing with us. I would unhesitatingly recommend him if you are interested in touring the Basque country!
