ファロからのリアフォルモサラグーンでのエコボートツアー

Faro is a very special place, having a huge area of land that is full of salt water and tiny islands. We thought that it would be a good way to get a proper view of the marshes and also to see the city, from the sea area. There are several boat trips, but we picked this one, as it is Eco friendly. The meeting point was a short walk from the marina in Faro old town, amongst several other boat trip companies. Our guide was the most cheerful and amazing young lady, full of knowledge, very chatty, brightened up everyones day! She continually pointed out various species of birds and told us a lot of detail about their habitat. She could speak several languages, but as everyone on the boat could understand English, she just communicatedin English, all the time. Much easier and far better. Only disadvantage, was getting on and off the boat, though it is in a very shallow part, so if you fell in, you wouldn't come to any harm, but it was swaying a lot and quite awkward, for anyone old or infirm. Wear good non slip shoes and take water with you. Great trip.

Booked this boat trip last minute and was pleasantly surprised. Cost 15 euros each for approx an hour. The skipper was friendly and very informative of the local area and wildlife. The solar boat is tranquil and would love to visit again around sunset. Would highly recommend and thank you to the young lady at the ticket office - very informative and not pushy - amazing

Didn't see many animals. This was unfortunate but I suppose you do run that risk when you book something like this. I'm really glad that the boat was environmentally friendly. The guide was really good.

The boat ride in the Formosa estuary is ideal for appreciating the landscape and wildlife of the area calmly.

We really enjoyed the experience; the boat was very quiet, respecting the environment and allowing us to enjoy it. It was very relaxing. We saw different species of birds that our guide pointed out to us.
