Private Cooking Class Udon in Kyoto Japan

Description
We are located in the heart of Kyoto, just a 12-minute walk from Kyoto Station and a 2-minute walk from Nishi Honganji Temple. Our facility is a beautifully renovated traditional Japanese house that dates back 130 years. We have transformed it into a classroom where we provide an authentic Japanese cultural experience for overseas visitors to Japan, aiming to offer a genuine taste of Kyoto's rich cultural heritage. Inside the historic house, you will find a majority of antique furniture and artifacts that are over 110 years old. With this setting, along with traditional Japanese music, we strive to create an immersive cultural experience that takes you back to Kyoto as it was 130 years ago. Our teachers are all local to Kyoto and possess a deep understanding of Japanese culture. They are passionate about sharing their knowledge and providing you with an enriching experience.

Forgot her name but instructor was amazing. Patient, funny, and welcoming. Made udon noodles, learned the history, ate some noodles and food was tasty
This was an amazing experience the food was delicious. I highly recommend the hostess were also very kind.
We had a really fun time with Hisayu! We made wonderful udon and feel confident that we could make it again at home. Afterwards we ate our udon in the restaurant downstairs with sauce and tempura provided. Really tasty. Also it seemed like the restaurant was full of local, regular customers (always a good sign!) and they were very friendly. It was such a great experience altogether!
One of the highlights of our trip! Tanaka San was so friendly, helpful, and patient. Class was about an hour but stayed maybe 1.5-2hrs after eating our delicious meal as well. You make the udon but do not boil them so class is very child friendly (our 4 & 10y/o had so much fun and could fully participate). Our session was upstairs so be aware bathroom/wash station is downstairs and class is upstairs in case that is an issue). Would 10/10 reccomend to all ages.
What an excellent experience! We ran 10 mins late and were accommodated for with smiles and a lot of enthusiasm. The lunch was nice with tempura veg and the noodles the class had made! Learnt so much about udon noodles and may even try them at home now!
Making udon noodles was an absolute highlight of our time in Kyoto. My teenage children had a blast! Tanaka is a wonderful, encouraging, and upbeat teacher.
Fun, easy and tasty. We had great fun doing the udon dance and making our udon babies into udon adults. They also gave us tempura and sauce/toppings for the udon so it tasted amazing. Highly recommend!
It was a wonderful and very authentic experience! Hi-Chan explained perfectly how to make the Udon and we had lots of fun doing it. The experience was in a very old and traditional house and we were happy to find such a calm place in Kyoto. The end result was very tasty and we will definitely try making our own Udon at home. Thank you!
Hosts were very kind and friendly. Kids had a great time, and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend this experience!
The ladies were wonderful with our children and taught us how to make Udon noodles as well as explaining the history etc. We then sat down to eat a delicious meal which included the noodles we made. This was a very fun and delicious outing with the kids. We would recommend to anyone travelling with or without kids.
