The first winery is a self-learn situation; the second winery is a guided tasting. Both interesting but note that there is no food provided.
It was great to get out of the city of Lyon and into the countryside of Beaujolais. Yan was an excellent driver and provided excellent information while enroute. The visit to the small family vineyard was the highlight.
It was an amazing day despite disappointing weather. The guide was from the Beaujolais and clearly passionate about her origins and the exceptional wine generated there. We visited 2 vineyards and we made purchases at both. Disappointed that they didn’t ship to the UK. The tour was inclusive and the group lovely all chatting at the end as the wine flowed . First stop vineyard was attached to a chateau and there was an interactive quiz as well as wine consumption which was great fun . The second was a local vineyard the owner lovely and the wine stunning. Highly recommend
What a wonderful morning! Roman was waiting for us before the meeting time. He was friendly and knowledgeable and made this excursion very enjoyable. He explained everything to us and was available at all times for questions. The drive was so pleasant. The van was very comfortable and Roman shared so much information. The views of the countryside were beautiful. The time passed very quickly. The two wineries we visited were lovely and the wine tasting at both was wonderful. At the first one, Roman guided us through the tastings. At the second one, there were two staff members who joined us to guide us. We would highly recommend this excursion.
We had a nice time on this tour. Amandine, the tour guide, was great, we had copious amounts of wine to try, and the two domaines we went to were lovely. However, for 119 euros, I think there should have been a bit more to this excursion. It seemed quite rushed and we weren't given any time to explore the beautiful grounds and gardens of the domaines and chateau. I didn't realize lunch wasn't supposed to be included but again, for that amount, it would have been nice to have at least some snacks in between. All we were offered was a small cube of goat cheese. I'm glad I went to experience the beaujolais region and learn more about the wines, but I still think the value for the money was a bit lacking.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed discovering Beaujolais with Amandine, the generous tastings, and the two lovely domaines. We’re sorry that the pace of this shared half-day introduction felt too rushed for what you were hoping for; for a slower, more personalized discovery, a private tour can often be a better fit. We truly appreciate your comments and are pleased you still had the chance to experience the region and its wines. The Tasty Lyon Team
Amazing wine tasting experience with romain. Clear explanations, great company

This was the highlight of our visit to Lyon. Rachel was amazing and was so helpful in telling us about Lyon and wine. Time traveling flew by and was just as fun as the wine tasting. Very comfortable ride, despite 95 degree weather. The first vineyard was equally comfortable with time inside in air conditioning and an appropriate amount of time out in the beautiful garden and vineyard for pictures and a few kisses. The second vineyard was smaller but equally informative on the process of making wine and how business and tradition compromise and dance to protect both the land and quality of the wine produced for years. Loved the tour and would highly recommend it. Hope to join Rachel on one of her many other tours as I couldn't imagine her disappointing in any context.
This was by far the highlight of my French adventure this year. This land is overwhelmingly, spectacularly, gorgeous, and.... the wine.... oh my goodness .... delicious! My family and I are most grateful for the expert guidance and the kindness of Clem and Rachel who made our Beaujolais experience wonderfully memorable. Thank you, merci beaucoup! 💖
The 1st visit to the castle was good, beautiful, but in the 2nd I found the place horrible, ugly and disorganized. There must be better wineries options to replace this 2nd.
The Beaujolais region merits a visit. The first winery was polished and pristine...but had a gimmicky interactive exhibit. The second winery felt much more authentic. The vintner was passionate about the wine and carefully explained. While the tour operator was knowledgeable, she was late in arriving and had difficulty driving and talking at the same time. She was also too quick to correct while her command of English is still developing.
