Edinburgh Literary Pub Tour innehåller ett dramatiskt manus framfört av två professionella skådespelare, inte reseguider som läser ur böcker. Turnén sträcker sig bortom de välkända figurerna Burns, Scott och Stevenson och inkluderar några av de mest färgstarka, litterära karaktärerna som har lagt till humor och kvickhet genom tiderna till det unika kroglivet i The Old and The New Town. Denna prisbelönta turné var den första litterära turnén som lanserades i Edinburgh 1996! Det har sedan dess tagit över 500 000 nöjda kunder på ett dramatiskt litterärt spår genom Edinburgh. Det anses av många som en pionjär och en "måste-se" kulturell attraktion i guideböcker över hela världen.

The tour was not only interesting but also great fun. The guides Emma and Dougal were fantastic.
Our tour with Dougle and Emma was wonderful! The performance was wonderful, and the poetry was truly beautiful. The translations into modern English were appreciated, and really increased our appreciation for the beauty of the original language.
An incredible performance - extremely polished, informative and, at times, deeply moving. Worth multiple times the cost of admission.
Dougal and Emma were the BEST! So engaging, so interesting - we LOVED the tour! We learned a lot but also laughed and saw some great places in the city. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed this educational and entertaining tour around three locations. The actors were simply brilliant, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Clart (played by Dugel) played his part passionately and Riley’s Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was particularly emotive. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and informative evening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very fun evening. Started & ended sitting in private room at a pub. Some walking involved which includes stairs. Entertaining whilst being very informative.
Fantastic time experienced by my family on our first trip to Edinburgh. The actors were simply terrific with an enthusiastic performance to remember for certain! We were thoroughly entertained and learned about some famous literary figures in Edinburgh over the centuries. We stopped at three locations in town and enjoyed a pint or two or maybe three…. I highly recommend this event for any family visiting Edinburgh.
Truly a superb tour -- entertaining and educational and very well-run. This was the first thing that a Scottish friend who studied in Edinburgh recommended to me as a must-do, and it is certainly that. Well worth the cost and the time! Bring money for beer or whisky or gin. ;-) Paul ("Clart") and Emma ("McBrain") were simply fantastic. You'll appreciate this more if you read some Burns first.
Wow! These guys were a hit! Not only did they share context to several prominent authors and their stories, they introduced me to a few authors I hadn’t heard before. We learned the history of Edinburgh along the way. Very interesting and funny. We happened to go during the World Cup so they had boisterous crowds to compete with, but they led us to quiet spaces and captivated the group for two hours as we moved from space to space. Totally recommend!
This was cancelled at the last minute when it was too late to make other plans. I hope getting a refund will not be difficult but I am concerned based on other reviews.
