Edinburgh: Loch Ness, Glencoe och högländerna

Mytiska bestar, sagor och dramatiska landskap: utforska skönheten i Skottland på en dag på denna endagsbusstur. Vi lämnar Edinburgh och åker nordväst och passerar kända landmärken som Linlithgow Palace: födelseplatsen för Mary Queen of Scots, de mystiska Kelpies och det dramatiskt upphöjda Stirling Castle. Vi fortsätter norrut och anländer till Glencoe för några bilder av de dramatiska åsarna som kallas de tre systrarna. Vi stannar i Fort William-området för lunch innan vi beger oss in i den naturliga skönheten i Great Glen när vi passerar Storbritanniens högsta berg, Ben Nevis. På väg längre in i höglandet anländer vi till den lilla pittoreska byn Fort Augustus - du kan välja att delta i en valfri båtkryssning här. Vägen hem kommer att vara dags att koppla av och njuta av Highland-landskapet. Sista förfriskningsstoppet är vid den historiska staden Pitlochry innan du fortsätter resan hem över Firth of Forth längs UNESCOs Forth Rail Bridge på väg tillbaka till Edinburgh.

Vårt första stopp för förfriskningar och en bekväm paus är Callander, där du får chansen att ta ett mellanmål och sträcka på benen. Om du har turen kan du ha chansen att träffa Highland Cows (säsongsberoende).
Vi gör ett kort stopp på denna natursköna plats för att njuta av utsikten över Loch Tulla och Glen Orchy
Platsen för massakern på MacDonald-klanen 1692, Glencoe är en av Skottlands mest berömda dalgångar. Här kommer du att hoppa av för ett fototillfälle med de dramatiska norra åsarna som kallas de tre systrarna
Nära halvvägs på vår tur stannar vi i Fort William-området för lunch.
Ytterligare ett tillfälle för bilder när vi stannar i utkanten av Spean Bridge vid Commando-minnesmärket. Oöverträffad utsikt ner mot Fort William och Storbritanniens högsta berg Ben Nevis. Beroende på tider kan detta stopp komma att ändras
En chans att ta lite lunch och delta i en valfri Loch Ness Boat kryssning. För dem som inte är på kryssningen har vi över en timme här vilket är gott om tid att ta en kaffe och vandra runt.
Stanna till i den viktorianska semesterorten Pitlochry för en chans att sträcka på benen och ta några lätta förfriskningar innan den sista delen av resan hem

Scotland is beautiful. Weather varies from Edinburgh. Bring an umbrella or a light rain jacket. Alister our tour guide is an amazing storyteller of Scottish history.
Overall, this was a nice way to experience the Highlands. The scenery in Glencoe and around Loch Ness is truly beautiful. The bus was comfortable, and the organization with Phill from the Stewart tours was smooth from start to finish. Since there is a lot of buses going to the same tour every day you should keep in mind that there could, and probably will be crowded, so you should plan wisely your time at each of the stops.
Our guide was Phil, he blended history with humor. Attractions and stops were good. Stories were very good and interesting. Traffic - meh…
We had an amazing tour for only one day in Scotland. We experienced the beauty and landscapes of the countryside. We heard about the history and culture along with beautiful music added to the stories told by Phil.
Tour guide Phil was great His humor was awesome and he was extremely informative. Honesty I’m amazed how well he handles the bus on the curvy narrow roads. Would definitely travel with Ohil again. . I wish that there were a little more time at stops because each area is really busy with other tours. Especially at Lock Ness where it would be nice to have time for the boat trip & an extra hours for shopping. I do realize you have time constraints.
Phil, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job sharing the history, culture, and stories of Scotland throughout the tour. His passion and sense of humour made the journey much more enjoyable. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the itinerary covered some of Scotland’s most iconic places.
Our driver was Phil. My wife and I quite easily booked this activity 2 days ahead. It's not cheap but well worth the price, and while you're out there spending, you might as well add the Loch Ness boat ride. The activities are well planned, the timing is neat, the driver is funny, entertaining and interesting, and the background is lovely. As you are warned at the start, the 12 hours fly fast. Just remember 2 things : - pick up a charging cable for your phone, you can absolutely reload during the bus rides and you'll need to ; - everyone loves these guided tours and you'll never be alone anywhere, but in every place you can find your spot for a great pic or a good meal. Would absolutely do it again somewhere else in Scotland or around. Great way to rest between 2 days of intense visiting by yourself. Thanks Phil. And here's to hoping you'll see Scotland get past the group stages in the World Cup one day. 🤞😆
Phil is an amazing guide, he did everything to make our experience as memorable and as great as possible and we enjoyed the tour a lot. At each stop we had more than enough time to take pictures, get food, and just enjoy what the place had to offer. Live, laugh, love Phil. Ps. The jokes were amazing, please never stop.
It was an amazing tour! Phil made the experience even more special with all his stories and songs. The landscapes were absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
Absolute banger of a tour. Lovely scenery, amazing guide (love you Phil). On every stop we had more than enough time to look around and enjoy ourselves. Loved Phils jokes (please never stop) and we could even pick out songs on the way back (#365partygirl)! 10/10 woukd recomend.
