Mindo är en liten stad vid foten av Ecuadors Andinska berg. Beläget i vacker molnskog, lockar den först och främst fågelskådare, men har också attraktioner för andra turister. Mindo ligger nordväst om Quito. Denna stad grundades 1861 och den nuvarande befolkningen är cirka 3000 invånare. Mindo är omgivet av Mindo-Nambilo molnskog; skogen är hem för hundratals fågelarter många av dem är i fara att utrotas. Här har du möjlighet till aktiviteter att välja mellan som inte ingår i priset för turen; som att vandra i vattenfallet, trädkronor/ziplining, delta i processen att göra choklad och utforska fjärilarnas värld.

Mötesplats i Carpedm kontor. Avgång kl. 07.00 från Carpedms kontor åker vi iväg mot Mindo. Bilresan tar cirka två och en halv timme. Vårt första stopp är Zip lines eller Canopy som de kallar det här eftersom du bokstavligen befinner dig ovanför baldakinen. Det finns 10 rader totalt och om du känner dig modig kan du till och med prova Superman eller Butterfly. Efter ungefär en timmes adrenalinfyllt kul går du mot Tarabita som är en linbana som tar dig till början av din vattenfallspromenad. När du går genom molnskogen kunde du se en mängd olika fåglar och fjärilar. om du tar med dig en baddräkt kan du ta ett dopp i det kristallklara vattnet. När du har torkat av dig lite ska vi bege oss till lunch. Efter lunch är valfria aktiviteter antingen: 1. Besök på chokladfabriken (ingår ej i priset). ELLER 2. Besök på fjärilsfarm/kolibrier (ingår ej i priset)

Butterfly Garden i Mindo kommer du att se mer än 100 färgglada fjärilar som flyter omkring dig. Utsiktstorn och däck Hitta kolibrier.

Such an amazing experience seeing and interacting with the animals of the forest. The hike to the waterfall was so peaceful and nice. The cable car ride had breathtaking views.
We got to have hummingbirds feed off our hands. The zipline was also fun and exhilarating. All around memorable

I did two excursions with CarpeDM : Quilotoa and Mindo. It's really comfortable because everything is included : transport, guide, lunch. I've been to Quilotoa and Mindo with Alejandro. He's really a good guide. He knows very well the nature and animals from Ecuador, so he'll give you good explanations about what you're going to visit. He's really nice, speaks very well English. Our day trip to Mindo with Alejandro was incredible! He was knowledgeable, friendly and showed us an incredible experience. We learnt so much and even helped spot some Tucans for us and hold butterflies! We were apprehensive at first for paying for the day trip vs doing it ourselves, but we were so thankful and happy with our decision after an amazing day. The trip far superseded our cotapaxi trip (although also great) Thanks so much!

We had a magical day in Mindo, seeing hummingbirds, butterflies, doing the waterfall trek and a tour of a chocolate farm. Alejandro was absolutely brilliant, the best tour guide I had in Ecuador - informative, helpful, lovely and chatty. He helped us understand mindo and we learnt a lot about Ecuador too. He also helped us to spot Toucans! Great experience.

An amazing day trip from Quito. Our guide, Alejandro, was very knowledgeable and interesting telling us many facts about the landscapes, plants and history of the area. I would recommend visiting the birds, ziplining and going to the chocolate factory.
