Stanna till för mat, vatten och mat att packa och ta med till nationalparken.
Vi anländer till norra porten i nationalparken Cotopaxi mellan 09:15 till 09:30 efter att ha kört längs Avenue of the Volcanoes
Ridning kommer att vara den första aktiviteten längs denna dag för ca oke timme / bara ridning inne i nationalparken.
Vi kommer att köra efter ridturen i ca 35 minuter från 4000 meter (12000 fot) till 4550 meter (15000 fot) för att starta vandringsdelen av dagen.
Vi kommer att börja vandringen upp till Basecamp mål 4900 meter (16000 fot) i ca 1 timme för att komma fram till Refugio José Rivas. Där vi kan äta och få hit drinkar.
Vi stannar här och njuter av Basecamp-atmosfären och går sedan ner till parkeringen för att börja återvända
Vi kommer att lämna den nationella med hjälp av södra grinden / turistiska sidan. Ca 3 timmar tillbaka från parkeringsplatsen på vulkanen

Upphämtningsplatser och tider
Plocka upp tid mellan 07:00 till 07:30 beroende på din plats inne i Quitos största stad. Denna info kommer att bekräftas senast 19:00 dagen innan när vi vet det slutliga antalet deltagare platser. Om du befann dig utanför upphämtningsområden som: Cumbaya, Pifo, Tumbaco, Puembo, Sangolquí eller Tababela (flygplatsområden) kan vi ordna upphämtning och avlämning för extra kostnad eller så kan vi ordna en plats för dig att möta oss med Uber.

Horse riding was fun and it did feel “wild”, but very little guidance, however still accessible even if you haven’t done any riding. The walk up to base camp isn’t too exhausting if you are fit, however make sure to acclimatise a little

A great experience from start to finish, our guide was friendly knowledgeable and attentive, the horse riding was awesome, we really enjoyed riding around the national park on the local horses and the mountain hike was as described, not touristy! We felt like we almost had the place to ourselves. Definitely recommend those wanting to see the higher side of Ecuador and visit Cotopaxi Volcano.

Just a fantastic day from start to finish. Dario was a great guide and very knowledgeable. We were given clear instructions on what to take and where to meet. Horse riding was just fabulous. Little hiccup when the weather closed in and we decided not to finish the walk up the volcano but Dario took straight down to the most beautiful lake where we had a lovely walk and saw lots of birds. Really great tour. Had a great time horseback riding around the park with the beautiful scenery. The hike up to the base camp is tough but you are able to take it slow. I recommend hiking shoes as the routes are sandy and gravely. Fatima and Dario were excellent tour guides. Highly recommend!
