Lauren was spectacular!!! She gave us so much information on the region and her stories were so fascinating and entertaining (better than Braveheart!! ☺️). She lost her voice by the end of the day, but didn't stop sharing the beauty of the highlands and Scotland with us. She even stopped along the way for pictures. Great experience for the whole family!
self-centered driver Rabbies was well organised with a nice welcome at the meeting point and everything was on time. Unfortunately my family and I have nothing more positive to say. Firstly, the tour that we selected was the one-day tour of Glencoe, Highlands and Loch Ness. This was a 12 hour day in a small, crowded, completely full minibus. We knew it would be a long day but we did not think we would spend all day on the bus. Other then some quick on/off toilet stops the only time you are out of the bus is 1-1/2 hour at Loch Ness. Which means over 10 hours of just sitting in the crowded suffocating bus. I am sure some of their other tours might be better, but I wouldn't recommend this particular one. We thought we would be spending more time outside of the bus enjoying the scenery and fresh air. Secondly, all of us were very very very very unhappy with our tour guide. So unhappy that we tried to figure out how to leave the tour and get a train back to Edinburgh, and we even bought ear plugs on one of the stops. I don't believe in public shaming people so I won't name the driver here, but imagine 12 hours of non-stop (and I do mean relentlessly never taking a breath) rattling on about his personal music taste, movie trivia, incredibly bad jokes, and the occasional tidbit of relevant Scottish history. It was excruciating. We were desperate to escape. He seemed to enjoy forcing us all to listen to his personal show and did not seem the least bit interested in the comfort or enjoyment of his paying passengers. He even said " if all you want is to see lovely views and take photos this isn't the tour for you". And at the end of the tour, after many many mentions of tipping, he stood at the door of the bus and force hugged everyone as they exited whether they wanted to or not. I saw him doing it and I held my bags in front of me and tried to side step him but he grabbed me anyway, it was incredibly rude and inappropriate.
I cannot say enough good things about the Rabbie’s day tour we did the other day. We had Adam as a guide and he was knowledgeable, funny, kind, and engaging. This was a wonderful way to see the Highlands and countryside outside of Edinburgh! Highly recommend!
This was an awesome trip! I was worried about the length but the time flies by! Wendy was an amazing guide, she answered all of our questions and was extremely knowledgeable. The number of people on the trip makes it enjoyable because you can hear everything and have a personal experience. I would recommend this company for all tours.
We had a great time! We went on this tour last year, we were guided by all the positive reviews and also due to its small tour size. It was the perfect choice for us, very comfortable and our tour guide was amazing. Im sorry I forgot her name but I remember she said she loved the Highland cows.
Amazing tour! Great views of the highlands and it is great that the Loch Ness boat tour was included. Duncan was a knowledgeable and informative tour guide, and gave us an awesome tour!
Loved the day with Tom experiencing the Scotland Highlands. It is a long trip but very much worth it. Tom was very knowledgeable.
My 14 year old daughter and I are spending a week in Scotland. This tour was booked by our travel agent and was our second Rabbie tour. The first was excellent and so was the second. I feel like we won the lottery with guided tours. We had a wonderful experience. Our guide Cameron from Ayr was incredible. He was kind, knowledgeable and funny. It was a perfect mixture of history, his environmental expertise and current events. The boat out onto Loch Ness was very scenic and he even went out of the way so we could feed some highland cows in the rain. I would highly recommend.
Amazing day with many things to see and do! The highlands, Loch Ness and the Coos were just so much fun. Louise was a great tour guide and we loved having her. The day felt long and is packed but worth - would recommend doing it.
We really liked the trip and our guide Mary was amazing. She had really interesting stories and we enjoyed listening to her. Time went by quickly and we did not need to listen to podcasts that we had downloaded. Mary was very informative of the timetables and overall the timetables were great, we always had just the good amount of time, never too much or too little. While there was a lot of driving, we had the stories and amazing views, so it was not that bad. The stops were great, we got nice photos and were able to buy foods and drinks. We got to see a lot and the trip was definetly worth the price paid. Cruise was also nice and before cruise we had time to get a quick lunch. Mary was amazing also at giving tips on when to get food and when and where to go to toilette. Everything went really smoothly and while the trip was long, it did not feel like it.
