Loch Lomond-turen från Edinburgh har lite av allt som Skottland har att erbjuda, från en lugn kryssning på Bonnie Loch Lomond till bergen i "Highlands in miniature" och majestätiska Stirling Castle. När vi lämnar Edinburgh är vi snart framme vid Kelpies, världens största hästskulpturer. Vårt stopp i Balloch är ett utmärkt tillfälle att njuta av utsikten över Loch Lomond till Ben Lomond i fjärran. Du kan lära dig om områdets laglösa vikingar och stridande klaner under en valfri sjökryssning. Sedan är det vidare, vidare in i nationalparken Loch Lomond och The Trossachs, ett område med enastående naturlig skönhet där Rob Roy MacGregor hyllades som en hjälte och en fredlös. Det finns tid för ett foto eller två och ett lunchstopp i det här området. Vi avslutar vår dag på Stirling Castle där du kan ta ett steg tillbaka i tiden till de påkostade dagarna av Skottlands renässanskungar och -drottningar.

Kelpies är världens största hästskulpturer i världen. De är 100 fot höga och är ett utmärkt fototillfälle för både besökare och lokalbefolkningen.
Vi besöker byn Balloch på Loch Lomonds bonniebanker. Passagerare kan köpa biljetter för att gå med på en 1 timmes kryssning på sjön, som erbjuder pittoreska landskap och intressant historia i området. Om du föredrar att stanna på torra land då är Balloch Country Park en perfekt plats att utforska.
Vi följer det dramatiska Duke's Pass och djupt in i Trossachs, "Höglandet i miniatyr". Åsikterna går isär om innebörden bakom Trossachs, men vår favorit är från den gaeliska som betyder "det borstiga landet". Vi stannar för ett foto eller två i det här området, samt ett längre stopp för att njuta av lite lunch. Detta landskap inspirerade Sir Walter Scotts dikt The Lady of the Lake och hans roman Rob Roy och vi tror att du också kommer att bli inspirerad, oavsett om du vill ta upp din kamera eller din anteckningsbok. Håll utkik efter ett favoritfotografiskt motiv, våra ulliga, långhornade Highland-kor. Vi kallar dem håriga kurrar!
Passagerare har möjlighet att besöka Stirling Castle (biljetter ingår ej, se undantag från turnéer), stora kungliga residens för Stuart Kings och Mary, Queen of Scots, som förklarades monark här 1543, bara nio månader gammal. Stuart was our guide for the day. Very knowledgeable and really proud of his country. We got a good taste of the lower highlands. Wish we had more than an hour at Stirling Castle.

We had a great time with our guide, Dougie! Our group of 7 were the only ones on the tour. Dougie heard we had already been in Scotland for 2 weeks, so he made a point of trying to tell us interesting stories and info we hadn't heard previously. First we visited the Kelpies, and then we took a boat tour on Loch Lomond. We stopped in Aberfoyle for lunch, then got a chance to feed Highland cows. Next we visited Stirling Castle, and Dougie took photos of our group. We drove on scenic roads through the Trossachs National Park, and made an extra stop in South Queensbury to get shots of the Forth bridges. Because we were the only ones on the tour, Dougie was able to drop us off at our hotel rather than back at the start, so he saved us time and paying for a taxi. We appreciated that a lot!
Kyle our driver tour guide was outstanding. He shared not only history but also included less known stories. He was humorous, thoughtful and clearly enjoyed working with tourists

We wanted to take a moment and share with you our experience for our day tour to Stirling Castle, Cameron was our guide, personal guide if you would as we were the only people on the bus. We had a PERFECT day! He shared historical facts, stories, pointed out many beautiful sites and shared his love of the countryside with us!
