Archiginnasio-palatset är en av de viktigaste byggnaderna i Bologna. Beläget i hjärtat av dess historiska centrum, har det varit värd för det kommunala biblioteket sedan 1838. Palatset byggdes av kardinal Borromeo mellan 1562 och 1563 baserat på en design av arkitekten Antonio Morandi känd som Terribilia som säte för universitetet
Du kommer att besöka det berömda anatomiska rummet i Archiginnasio-palatset där du kan stanna i 10 minuter medan du lyssnar på guidens berättelse. Rummet, som kallas Teater på grund av sin karakteristiska amfiteaterform, designades 1637 för anatomiska lektioner av den bolognesiska arkitekten Antonio Paolucci känd som Levanti, en elev av Carraccis.

This tour was quite good. It is a fascinating place where the foundations of modern academia started. The tour guide did a good job of showing us the different aspects of the facility and what was their meaning. The anatomy room where the bodies were dissected is an absolute mind blowing place to behold. It is particularly fascinating for somebody like me who is in the field of medicine. There was really no downside to this. I do believe that if you’re in Bologna, it is a must do.
